Clinton hostage crisis and the AP

It is good that no one got hurt during the Clinton campaign office hostage crisis. The local police did a wonderful job in handling the situation.

We certainly all expected the Clinton camp to play this for all it is worth, that is their job.

What I did not expect is that the media, one reporter in particular, would be fawning all over Hillary Clinton.

Greg Johnson, AP Writer, has taken fawning over Hillary to a whole new level.

Check out some of these quotes from his AP article:

When the hostages had been released and their alleged captor arrested, a regal-looking Hillary Rodham Clinton strolled out of her Washington home, the picture of calm in the face of crisis.

... Democratic presidential contender can face disorder in a most orderly manner.

It was a vintage example of a candidate taking a negative and turning it into a positive.

Clinton sought to use the sad moment as a national teaching opportunity, another skill often employed by presidents.

The is a news report, folks!!!!

Even funnier are the quotes from other bloggers having a total blast with this so called journalism:

Right Wing Nut House: This is not a news story. It’s a campaign press release.

bRight & Early Blog: Is the AP going to be charged with an in-kind contribution to the Clinton Campaign?

Dinocrat: We don’t know about you, but, difficult as it is, we always try to remain calm when drunks tape highway flares to their shirts five hundred miles from our house.

Captain's Quarters: What was presidential about having the Rochester PD talk a hostage-taker out of a building? What "leadership" did Hillary show in Virginia during this crisis? She canceled a speech!

Ann Althouse: Is that what you want in a President? Someone who feels extra confusion because she's a mother?

Really, I could on and on.

After all that, the people are not buying it: Fox News:

Whatever public sympathy Hillary Clinton had built up during the tense hostage situation at her New Hampshire campaign office appeared to dissipate Saturday, as she was met with a round of boos during an address over the phone to an Iowa political event.
