Aw shucks! Illegal immigrants so angry about AZ law, they plan on leaving?

Seriously, some of the dumbest headlines have come out since the illegal immigration debate has fired up.

Check this one out:

Illegal Immigrants plan to leave over Ariz. law

PHOENIX – Many of the cars that once stopped in the Home Depot parking lot to pick up day laborers to hang drywall or do landscaping now just drive on by.

Arizona's sweeping immigration bill allows police to arrest illegal immigrant day laborers seeking work on the street or anyone trying to hire them. It won't take effect until summer but it is already having an effect on the state's underground economy.

Oops! The new law is affecting "the state's underground economy"?

You mean the illegal "underground economy?

I am pretty certain that many Americans would be happy to hang some drywall for a paycheck. I have my tool belt ready...will travel!

If this were President Bush, just imagine...

I swear it is time to start a series called "If this were President Bush, just imagine..."

It is a series that will focus on the decisions President Obama makes and the reaction from the media compared to the reaction to President Bush making the same sort of decision.

Just imagine for a moment the explosion from the MSM if Bush had decided to do this:

President Barack Obama has denied aid to individuals affected by March’s massive storms and Gov. M. Jodi Rell said she plans to file a formal appeal.

Denying care to individuals?

Hmmm. Imagine the explosion from main stream media if this were President Bush????

Kinda interesting that President Obama has no problem standing up for illegal immigrants, but won't stand up for Connecticut residents.

Does he need the GOP?

I found it rather amazing that Dick Leinenkugel managed to find his way to Kenosha yesterday, and managed to contact the media and let them know he was coming. Amazingly, he never contacted anyone in the local county party. Even the state party chairman, who lives in Kenosha County, was unaware he was coming. This would have been a great opportunity for Mr. Leinenkugel to plant some seeds in the Kenosha County GOP.

I will be honest here. Many local GOP folks get a little resentful when you show up in our county; talk about Republican politics and you never bother to actually contact any actual Republicans in the area.

I guess Mr. Leinenkugel plans on running and winning without any help or support from the local GOP groups.

Best of luck with that, Mr. Leinenkugel.

We must stop these bills

There were three bills that must be stopped at the state level before they can cause major damage to our state.

The RTA bill

The Clean Energy Bill (Global Warming Job killing bill)

The Voter Registration bill

I do not want to get too excited yet, but it appears that all three bills are dead.

According to Senator Russ Decker, none of the three bill have made in on the schedule to be voted on and most likely will not be on the schedule before midnight.

None of the bills is on the Senate agenda for Thursday, the last day of the legislative session.

"I would say that any Senate bill that's not scheduled . . . is not going to have a chance to get through both houses," Decker said Wednesday.

Goldman Sachs: President Obama's Enron

Remember Enron?

Of course you do. Lefties railed for years about President Bush's connections to the ethically challenged Enron.

Amazingly, we are not hearing the lefties rail against President Obama and his deep and close ties to ethically challenged Goldman Sachs.

So far, I have only found one major news outlet willing to even discuss the issue:

Politico

The Washington Examiner points out that the Goldman Sachs boon is Enron on steroids. The money donated to President Bush by Enron is a pittance compared to the millions of dollars donated to President Obama and the Democrats.

Michelle Malkin shows the deep connections between current Obama employees and former Goldman Sachs employees.

The ties between Goldman Sachs and President Obama run very deep.

It should be interesting to see if our media will openly and honestly report the ties between President Obama/Democrats and Goldman Sachs.

Do they need his vote that bad?

You would think this was a no brainer. You have a three time convicted OWI state assemblyman, with more charges pending, you should remove him from office. Not our democrat controlled state legislature!

On Monday, Rep. Jeff Wood, was convicted of his third OWI offense and sentenced to 45 days in jail and charged a $1600 fine.

On Tuesday, the state assembly, decided not to remove him from office.

I understand that voting is tight for some of the extreme bills that the democrats want to pass, but is it that close?

Hello, Democrats! You control everything in this state! Do you really need his vote this bad?

How pathetic!

Goldman Sachs political ties

As Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid is busy grilling Minority Leader Mitch McConnell on a meeting he had with big wig Wall Street folks, more and more questions have been asked on exactly how deep and incestuous the relationship is between Wall Street and Washington.

I do not believe there is any doubt that the ties between Wall Street and Washington run deep. It has been this way for years.

What may come as a surprise to many is that it is not necessarily Republicans that have benefited most from Wall Street, Democrats ties run deep with their connections to Wall Street. Democrats have been selling the theory for years that they stand for the little guy in middle America; the evil Republicans stand for big business, big oil and big banks.

This is just not true.

Check out this:

President Obama rolls out a big new bill that will come down hard on Wall Street.

The following day, the SEC announces that they are going after Goldman Sachs.

(Amazing timing, don't you think?)

Since then, many have dug deep into Goldman Sachs ties to Washington.

Who is the #1 financial beneficiary from Goldman Sachs employee contributions?

You guessed right...President Barack Obama. In fact, no other candidate benefited as greatly as Obama did from Goldman Sachs employees in 2008. As Americans are busy bailing out the credit markets in 2008, candidate Obama raked in almost a million dollars from Goldman Sachs employees. $996,595!

No other candidate in American history has received more money from Wall Street folks than President Barack Obama.

Check out the chart on this page. Notice all of these bailout recipients... Goldman Sachs, Citigroup, JP Morgan, and Morgan Stanley.

Don't get me wrong, there is nothing illegal about this practice. However, the continuous lie pushed by the Democrats is that Republicans are in the hip pockets of Wall Street.

This is all crap!

In fact, Goldman Sachs employees have spent millions more dollars over the years to get Democrats elected than Republicans. See the chart for yourself.

Thank you, Mr. President?

I cannot believe Tea Party participants are so ungrateful. You see, we should be thanking the President.

IBD

Rather than protesting the greatest expansion of government in U.S. history, Tea Party attendees should be thanking Big Government for all it's done. At least, that's what President Obama thinks.

As the Associated Press reported Thursday, the president said he was "amused" by the Tea Party faithful gathering in cities across America to protest soaring government spending, ballooning debt and the explosion in taxes that will be needed to pay for it all.

"You would think they'd be saying thank you," he said.

And why should they be thankful? As the president himself said on his weekly radio address a week ago, "one thing we have not done is raise income taxes on families making less than $250,000; that's another promise we kept."

In fact, that wasn't his promise at all.

Here's what candidate Obama really said in September of 2008: "Under my plan, no family making less than $250,000 a year will see any form of tax increase. Not your income tax, not your payroll tax, not your capital gains taxes, not any of your taxes."

Got that? "Not any of your taxes." The claim of no tax hikes on those below $250,000 as a result of the current administration's policies is completely and utterly false.

A report from the House Ways & Means Committee's GOP members notes that, since January 2009, Congress and the president have enacted $670 billion in tax increases. That's $2,100 for each person in America. At least 14 of those tax hikes, the report says, break Obama's pledge not to raise taxes on those earning less than $250,000. Roughly $316 billion of the tax hikes — 14 increases in all — hit middle-class families, the report says.

Support Michael Gableman

Anyone else sick of it?

For about two years, the liberals in this state have been in complete hysterics trying to get Justice Michael Gableman removed from office. For two years, everyone has been trying to get the liberals to move on. Now it appears again that the liberals have failed and will continue to fail to get Gableman removed.

The theory the liberals are pushing is that Gableman lied when he was running for office:

Gableman's ad ran in March 2008, as he conducted his campaign to defeat then-Justice Louis Butler Jr. It discussed the case of Reuben Lee Mitchell, a child sex offender whose case Butler worked on when he was a public defender.

"Butler found a loophole. Mitchell went on to molest another child. Can Wisconsin families feel safe with Louis Butler on the Supreme Court?" the ad said.

But it did not tell viewers Butler was unsuccessful in getting Mitchell out of prison and that Mitchell served his sentence before committing the subsequent crime.

A couple of points...

1. Justice Butler has been called "Loophole Louie" long before Justice Gableman ran for office. This election was about a lot more than one single ad.

2. Justice Gableman was duly elected to office, whether the liberals like it or not. To have him removed from office will infuriate the electorate.

Time for the liberals to grow up and move on.

Romney vs. ObamaCare

I was reading an article today about the next choice conservatives will have to make. Either Republicans continue to support Mitt Romney and support ObamaCare or Republicans will have to dump Mitt Romney and work to repeal ObamaCare.

Uhhh...

That is a no brainer- dump Mitt Romney. I have said for months that if ObamaCare passes, Mitt Romney was done. Well, Mitt is done.

But win or lose, Romney would not be able to credibly campaign against the national health care law. And as a result, were he the Republican nominee, it would kill the movement to repeal ObamaCare.

A simple explanation of Obama's nuclear policy

Americans are smart. President Obama's nuclear policy is a complete joke and the American people have already figured it out.

You do not have to be a genius to figure out that President Obama is negotiating a nuclear deal with himself and himself only. No other nations involved.

The whole point of the "deal" signed by President Obama was for Iran, North Korea and others to give up their pursuit of nuclear arms. Normally during negotiations, one side gives up something, and the other side gives up something. That has not happened here.

President Obama has promised that America will not retaliate for a biological or chemical weapons attack against the US with a nuclear warhead. Iran, North Korea and the others gave up nothing. They still plan on pursuing whatever it is they feel like pursuing.

In fact, Iran's leader is opening mocking the President.

Just to add insult to President Obama's injury, Russia gladly signed an agreement yesterday, stating that they may or may not decide to help us with sanctions on Iran to force the Iranians to give up nuclear weapons.

Simply put...I own a car that you want to buy. You give me money for the car, but I do not give you the car. So you go to your friend and ask him to help you get the car from me. Your friends says "uh, maybe I will help". You then go to collect the car you just purchased from me and I still refuse to give it to you. You turn around for your friend's help to collect and amazingly, he is not there.

This is where we currently stand right now with this pathetically stupid deal just signed by the President.

In order to stop Iran's weapons pursuit, President Obama gave up part of America's safety with no concession from our enemies and Russia may or may not back us up.

Sarah Palin is right. President Obama is standing on the playground with all of his enemies surrounding him asking them to punch him and he promises not to retaliate. This is a good foreign policy decision?

Where are the rest of the Democrats on this? Amazingly, most of them are silent. Where is Reid, Pelosi, Schumer, Rockefeller, etc...? Where are these guys to back the President up?
