Save America's fat kids? So saith the First Lady?

I know the First Lady, Michelle Obama, is in Copenhagen emploring the Olympic Committee to hold the Olympics in Chicago, but... is this really the best way to win over the Olympic critics?

I was stunned when I read this on Michelle Malkin's page:

We need all of our children to be exposed to the Olympic ideals that athletes from around the world represent, particularly this time in our nation’s history, where athletics is becoming more of a fleeting opportunity. Funds dry up so it becomes harder for kids to engage in sports, to learn how to swim, to even ride a bike. When we’re seeing rates of childhood obesity increase, it is so important for us to raise up the platform of fitness and competition and fair play; to teach kids to cheer on the victors and empathize with those in defeat, but most importantly, to recognize that all the hard work that is required to do something special.

Hold the Olympics in Chicago...Save America's fat kids?

Seriously! This is posted on the White House website.

Former President Clinton getting stimulus funds(Bridge to No-where)

Should taxpayers really being paying for a bridge to no-where for President Clinton's Library?

Apparently they are getting $2.5 million dollars for it.

WSJ:

A historic bridge at Bill Clinton's presidential center in Little Rock is slated to get $2.5 million of federal stimulus money from Arkansas's share of the funds.

Most of the stimulus cash going to states is designated for particular needs, such as Medicaid or schools, but about $8.8 billion distributed through the Government Services Fund is for governors to use as they see fit. Many states have added the bulk of this money to education or police budgets and, in a few cases, initiatives such as tax relief for senior citizens or incentives for the film industry.

Cool, taxpayer will be forced to pay for this "bridge to No-where". Actually, our children's children get to pay for this "bridge to no-where" too!

Iran dictating inspection terms to the world

How pathetic is this?

Instead of being the aggressor and standing up for the innocent people of the world, our President and many other world leaders are hanging back waiting for Iran to tell us what THEIR timetable for letting inspectors in will be:

Iran will soon tell the International Atomic Energy Agency when it can inspect the Islamic republic's recently revealed nuclear facility, the country's state-run Press TV reported.

The head of Iran's nuclear program made the announcement in an interview with Press TV on Monday, but he did not give a timetable for the potential inspection.

Iran revealed the existence of the covert uranium enrichment site last week, drawing condemnation from the West.

The country has also launched a series of missile tests which provoked a further strong response from Western leaders. Saturday, Iran tested short-range missiles, and Monday, it fired two types of long-range missiles.

What Tehran described as routine military exercises, France and the United States called "destabilizing" and "provocative."

Iran claims its nuclear enrichment program is intended for peaceful purposes, but the international community accuses the country of continuing to try to develop nuclear weapons capability.

Continued...

Not to worry though, I am certain our President will send a strongly worded letter to the brash Iranian government.

That should handle the problem!

Buy Sarah Palin's Book in Advance

By now, everyone may have already heard that the Sarah Palin's book, originally scheduled for release in March of 2010 is actually done early.

Yesterday it was announced that the book would be released November 17th. Certain to pick up the holiday sales.

The book was listed today for sale in Barnes & Noble and Amazon. Since both websites began listing the availability of pre-ordering the book, the book that is not even released yet, has shot up the bestseller list.

Barnes & Noble shows it as #1 on its bestseller list.

Amazon currently shows it as #11. But I think that will change in the next hour. When I bought my book this afternoon, the price was higher than Barnes & Noble, but Amazon has already lowered the price to match member's pricing at B&N. I think it was at #136 on Amazon since this afternoon at about three. It has shot up to #11 since then.

Not too shabby for a complete and utter failure that many of the snotty elitists in the GOP and the entire Democrat party have written off.

The truth is Sarah Palin is not disappearing as many had predicted. She is the only rock star the GOP has right now. The grassroots supported Palin during the election and the grassroots will not leave her just because the elitists that run this party want us too.

The original first edition print order is for 1.5 million copies. That is gigantic for a first run and is not normally done unless they know the book will sell.

Well, I guess only 12 hours into the pre-ordering of the book, they certainly know it will sell.

If you want a First Edition print copy, order today before they sell out. They will be a collector's item as first editions.

Time to turn on the heat?

Got up this morning and the house was at 56 degrees. Both cats piled in the bed trying to keep warm.

I cannot believe I had to turn on the heat and it was not even Oct. 1st yet. Now one of the cats is laying right next to the heating vent.

Gonna be a cold one this year.

I hate this global warming stuff.

Good friends, good game, good day

Hung out with some politicos at lunch with Rep. Leah Vukmir and many of her most loyal supporters. Went home for a few minutes and then meet up with another friend for the Brewers game. The last home game is tomorrow for the Brewers, so tonight was my last game of the season.

Bottom of the 9th, tied ball game, nobody out. Ryan Braun hits a monster walk off home run. So ends my season this year with the Brewers. I only made it to three games this year. Brewers went 2-1 at those games.

Good game, good friends and a good day. We will get 'em next year.

Stepping Right Up is stepping out today

No healthcare, go to jail

You guys think I am goofing around here, but I am not. Being reported by the Politico:

This doesn't happen often enough.

Sen. John Ensign (R-Nev.) received a handwritten note Thursday from Joint Committee on Taxation Chief of Staff Tom Barthold confirming the penalty for failing to pay the up to $1,900 fee for not buying health insurance.

Violators could be charged with a misdemeanor and could face up to a year in jail or a $25,000 penalty, Barthold wrote on JCT letterhead. He signed it "Sincerely, Thomas A. Barthold."

The note was a follow-up to Ensign's questioning at the markup

This was about the mandate in the bill that requires every American to purchase some form of insurance. Remember? This is the tax, that Obama and George argued about.

Now I am requesting just one single liberal to show up and defend this. Go to jail???

Obama argued it!

Some Democrats are Turkeys!

Hey, don't get mad at me...VP Biden called them turkeys first.

“These guys are smart, "Biden asserted. "Some of the guys Chuck (Robb) and I have campaigned for are turkeys. Not all Democrats are created equal, while most Republicans are.”

Say it ain't so, Joe!

And some of you idiots thought the choice of Joe Biden for VP was brilliant.

Who are the turkeys now, huh?

Representative Wood needs to resign now!

Amazingly, Rep. Jeff Wood was arrested for the 4th time in a span of couple of years for OWI.

This time, he was not drunk, but high on prescription drugs.

Convicted or not of this crime, it is difficult to watch this video and not think that it is time for him to leave NOW!

The guy needs help NOW, before he hurts himself or someone else. He needs to be off the roads and away from decision making for our state. I do not understand why he still has his license???

More race baiting and hate speech from the head of Wisconsin Democrat Party

You have got to love this... Hat Tip...Tom DeFazio Facebook

The head of Democrat Party of Wisconsin upped the ante on his insults towards tea partiers with a fund raising letter to his party faithful.

Here is what I said: "These are extremist elements pulling together, distinct vocal minorities that frankly don't believe in this country. They don't want to see more people have access to quality affordable health care; they don't want clean air and water. They fundamentally don't understand how the American government, economy and capitalism work."

I meant what I said, and I'm not afraid to say it again.

Just because you throw the biggest temper tantrum doesn't mean you can silence the majority of Americans who want fundamental change in this country.

History is riddled with examples of vocal fringe groups that have risen to oppose progress and success. From the red-baiting McCartyhyites to the Know-Nothings and the KKK, we have seen this story unfold many times in the past. Fueled by ignorance, racism and intolerance, these groups have done everything in their power to obstruct progress – often resorting to intimidation and violence.

When do ordinary Americans, who are showing up to these, finally reject the Democrat Party outright? I say that time is coming.

There were plenty of Independents at this event. When Michelle Malkin blasted Republicans, the crowd went nuts. So if these liberal elitists continue this way of thinking, all hope is lost in the state of Wisconsin for many of the democrat candidates next year.

Apparently, slamming average Americans that show up at these events does not seem like the smart thing to do.

I could not be more excited that Mike Tate has chosen this moment to destroy the Democrats in this state among Independents voters. Good job, Mike Tate!

In the meantime, Reince Priebus, the head of the GOP in Wisconsin, has chosen to take a stand against the Dems hateful speech, even though his party was blasted at the tea party event on Saturday.

Good for Reince. He did not allow the constant GOP bashing at these tea parties to cloud his judgement. Reince did the right thing by responding and sending that response to the leaders of the Democrat Party...Governor Jim Doyle and Lt. Gov. Barb Lawton.

Students raising praise and adulation to Barack Hussein Obama

Can I get a alleluia?

How about an amen?

See parents...there is nothing wrong with Obama addressing America's school children.

It is not like the teachers would even dream of having the students sing praise and adulation songs to the President, especially using tunes from religious songs, huh?

Alright everybody sing along! Your transformation from being conservatives to worshiping the ground President Obama walks on, is almost complete.

If you do not find yourself worshiping Obama after the first brainwashing session, then hit replay.

A Republican alternative to health care??? Ya don't say!

Getting tired of hearing that Republicans do not have a plan?

That is because Democrats are lying about there being a plan. They are just trying to squash it.

Congressman Paul Ryan talking again about health care reform

Democrats, we are calling you out as liars AGAIN. It is time to tell the truth to the American people!

ACORN= Tax cheats?

Apparently ACORN is having problems paying their taxes. I wonder why? Taxpayers have given them $53 million over the last 15 years.

NRO

ACORN CEO Bertha Lewis told Fox News Sunday on September 20 that her group “absolutely pays its taxes.” But her claim crumbles before the $548,213.25 federal tax lien that the Internal Revenue Service filed against the embattled New Orleans-based activist organization. Louisiana state tax officials also have slapped $334,121.43 in tax liens on ACORN since last October 29.

This Gallup Poll has to be devasting to ObamaCare

This poll sought to find out how many Americans are currently satisfied with the quality of their own insurance plans and the cost of those plans.

Even I was stunned by these poll numbers from Gallup.

80% of Americans are at least satisfied by the quality of care and 61% are satisfied with the cost of medical care!

Also stunning... 50% of those people without health care coverage are satisfied with the quality of health care! Even 27% of uninsured Americans are satisfied with the costs of health care.

Why in the world would President Obama even think of messing with people's private health care and Medicare with these kinds of poll number?

Oh that is right, President Obama wants to take away your ability to make your own decisions on just about everything, including making your own decisions about your life and you death.

This poll was taken after President Obama's big speech in front of Congress. Since when is 80% of America happy with anything.

Liberal think: 80% of America is satisfied, we better change it now!

Palin: Positive message in Hong Kong

Interesting video clip and interviews after the Palin speech in Hong Kong

Each time Sarah Palin's speaks, it becomes obvious that Reaganism is not dead, and is slowly making a comeback through Palin.

Palin's speech in Hong Kong

Are you sitting down?

Hopefully, you are?

Palin's speech in Hong Kong was a success. How do I know this?

The New York Times said so.

HONG KONG — Sarah Palin, in what was billed as her first speech overseas, spoke on Wednesday to Asian bankers, investors and fund managers.

A number of people who heard the speech in a packed a hotel ballroom, which was closed to the media, said Mrs. Palin spoke from notes for 90 minutes and that she was articulate, well-prepared and even compelling.

“The speech was wide-ranging, very balanced, and she beat all expectations,” said Doug A. Coulter, head of private equity in the Asia-Pacific region for LGT Capital Partners.

Of course there are some media outlets attempting to bash away, but even they are struggling to find something critical to say.

The speech was 90 minutes long. Not a easy task by any measure. She also stayed around and answered questions.

My favorite statement was from an Obama supporter:
Mr. Goodé, an African-American who said he did some campaign polling for President Obama, said Mrs. Palin mentioned President Obama three times on Wednesday.

“And there was nothing derogatory in it, no sleight of hand, and believe me, I was listening for that,” he said, adding that Mrs. Palin referred to Mr. Obama as “our president,” with the emphasis on “our.”

Mr. Goodé, a New Yorker who said he would never vote for Mrs. Palin, said she acquitted herself well.

“They really prepared her well,” he said. “She was articulate and she held her own. I give her credit. They’ve tried to categorize her as not being bright. She’s bright.”

The idea that Palin is a blithering idiot is exactly what the Obama loving media wants America to believe. What I find strange are the real blithering idiots, like Kathleen Parker, who are determined to undermine any change of having a conservative President again. They call themselves conservatives, but worship at the feet of President Obama. There is something terrible wrong with these Vichy republicans.

Even as the rest of the world is blasting and beating up on our President, somewhere in Hong Kong, Palin was proving that capitalism and freedom is still something worth standing up for.

There will be no apology tour on the world wide stage forthcoming from Sarah Palin. She will leave the apology tour up to President Obama. After all, he does it so well.

Proof ObamaCare will cut services to senior citizens on Medicare

Yes, according to the CBO, there will indeed be cuts to Medicare recipients and their level of service if healthcare reform is passed.

I know the President has said it over and over again that Medicare will not be cut under any circumstances. Seniors have not really wholeheartedly believed him.

Common sense tells us that cutting $400 to $500 billion from any program, but promising no cuts in services is plain baloney.

Now, the non-partisan Congressional Budget Office has confirmed what most believe to be the honest truth.

WASHINGTON — Congress' chief budget officer is contradicting President Barack Obama's oft-stated claim that seniors wouldn't see their Medicare benefits cut under a health care overhaul.

The head of the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office, Douglas Elmendorf, told senators Tuesday that seniors in Medicare's managed care plans would see reduced benefits under a bill in the Finance Committee.

The bill would cut payments to the Medicare Advantage plans by more than $100 billion over 10 years.

Elmendorf said the changes would reduce the extra benefits that would be made available to beneficiaries.

Critics say the plans are overpaid, while supporters say they work well.

Obama says cuts to Medicare providers won't reduce seniors' benefits.

We have been told by the President to call people out when we hear them telling falsehoods about healthcare reform.

I am calling you out, Mr. President! Stop lying to our seniors!

It is a tax, a painful massive tax at that

President Obama is making the claim that mandating insurance for the millions not currently carrying insurance is not really a tax. George Stephanopoulos actually read the dictionary definition of the word tax and President Obama appeared to be miffed.

STEPHANOPOULOS: I -- I don't think I'm making it up. Merriam Webster's Dictionary: Tax -- "a charge, usually of money, imposed by authority on persons or property for public purposes."

OBAMA: George, the fact that you looked up Merriam's Dictionary, the definition of tax increase, indicates to me that you're stretching a little bit right now. Otherwise, you wouldn't have gone to the dictionary to check on the definition. I mean what...

STEPHANOPOULOS: Well, no, but...

OBAMA: ...what you're saying is...

STEPHANOPOULOS: I wanted to check for myself. But your critics say it is a tax increase.

OBAMA: My critics say everything is a tax increase. My critics say that I'm taking over every sector of the economy. You know that. Look, we can have a legitimate debate about whether or not we're going to have an individual mandate or not, but...

STEPHANOPOULOS: But you reject that it’s a tax increase?

OBAMA: I absolutely reject that notion.

Even the AP is actually calling this a tax increase. Now why would they do that? Because the actual language of the both the House and Senate bill call it a tax. Imagine that!

Memo to President Barack Obama: It's a tax. Obama insisted this weekend on national television that requiring people to carry health insurance — and fining them if they don't — isn't the same thing as a tax increase. But the language of Democratic bills to revamp the nation's health care system doesn't quibble. Both the House bill and the Senate Finance Committee proposal clearly state that the fines would be a tax.

Yes. Not only is it a tax, but the tax increase is massive. Massive!

Dick Morris

Obama has pledged only to increase taxes on the rich. But his program essentially taxes the core of the middle class (those making $30,000 to $80,000). It will make them overpay in order to pick up the slack for others who need the extra coverage.

And here is more from the Washington Post:

The Baucus plan de-emphasizes the employer mandate in favor of the individual mandate. Importantly, this mandate comes with an affordability exemption: If the lowest cost premium available exceeds 10 percent of a person’s income, they're exempt from the mandate. Beyond that, the fee for people who are not eligible for subsidies is $950 per year, up to $3,800 for a family. Compared to the cost of insurance, that's not a ton of money. But then the intent isn't to make not having insurance unaffordable: It's primarily to create a hard deadline so people don't simply put off the purchase of insurance, and secondarily to make sure free riders are paying something into the system.

Almost a $1000 tax increase for a single person, $4000 for a family. Tell me that is not a tax increase!

Mr. President, you are only fooling yourself with your false thinking that this is not a tax increase.

As you told us to do when people were making things up...

I AM CALLING YOU OUT!

What a great time we had.

I am posting this for my mom and dad who were headed back to Texas after spending a few days down in Downer's Grover for a conference. I drove down there yesterday and my parents and I work on these posters last night.

This was the sign that my mom really liked. It is a poster that represents her. She is very worried about senior citizens losing their rights. Rights that she and my father, as a Vietnam vet, fought for and paid for in the last 45 years.

So Mom and Dad, this photo is for you

.

Mom and Dad also liked this one too.

Health Care costs according to President Obama

Hmm, interesting video. President Obama in his own words, as he is running for President

So far, 15 Democrat senators have already stated they could not support the Senate Health Care plan in its current form. All 40 Republicans are against it.

Have you taken a look behind you Mr. President?

Hat Tip Hot Air

2 + 2 = ACORN

As I am reading through the endless articles on ACORN this morning from the main stream media, it dawned on me that the biggest portion of this story has gone completely unnoticed.

The most obvious criminal activity is that ACORN is a wing of Democrat Party and our tax dollars are being used to get Democrats elected.

It just that simple. Somehow, it not only understood that the Democrats are getting assistance from every taxpayer in the country, but the media now just agrees and goes along with the illegal activity.

The media treats this with a ho-hum indifferent attitude. We see articles about how Democrats are now trying to distance themselves from the group and so forth.

However, we have not seen anyone in the years and years that ACORN has been assisting the Democrats, question the legality of using federal, state and local taxes to a group helping get Democrats elected to office.

It is time for the media to put 2+2 together and come up with a correct answer.

It is illegal to use tax dollars to help one political party or another.

Can you imagine giving CPAC or PRO-Life movements federal, state and local tax dollars? These guys work in their state and local communities for the betterment of society also!

Update: Newt Gingrich recognizes there is a problem.

To those great men that wrote and approved our Constitution 222 years ago, we thank you.

Now, just like every bill in Congress these days, if we can just get our Congress to read it, we would be better off.

Fox News/Dynamics Poll devastating to ObamaCare

Some more devastating results from polling. Of course this poll like the others is skewed towards Democrats, so the final numbers are once again off base. That is okay, I think this entire debate has more to do with Independents than anything else.

House votes to cut off ACORN

Received a Twitter message from House Minority Leader John Boehner that the Congressional House has also voted to cut off funding to ACORN.

House Republican Leader John Boehner (R-OH) issued the following statement after the House of Representatives voted 345-75 to pass the Defund ACORN Act:

“Today’s overwhelming bipartisan vote to stop all federal funding of ACORN is a victory for American taxpayers. Of course, it is only the beginning. We need to keep up the fight to end taxpayer funding for this troubled organization.

Who says Karl Rove can't be funny?

Karl Rove tweeted:

Obama will appear on 5 news shows on Sunday. His time might be better spent praying for more public support.

Third is line to presidency, Pelosi, clueless

Seriously, this woman could be president???

She cannot even handle being Speaker of the House.

The Senate passed legislation overwhelmingly on Monday to defund ACORN, and she has no clue.

New York Post

WASHINGTON -- House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said yesterday she is clueless about an amendment to prohibit government funds for embattled ACORN, although it overwhelmingly passed the Senate Monday and the White House is calling for the group to be held accountable.

"I don't even know what they passed," Pelosi told The Post yesterday. "What did they do? They defunded it?"

The amendment to suspend housing grants was a stunning blow to the community-activist group -- and came as some Democrats and the White House have been backing away from the group.

Senate Health Care Bill will increase health care costs immediately

Somebody has got to pay for healthcare reform. There will be no health care savings for

The Baucus bill will increase our health care costs immediately.

One of the basic reasons for health care reform was to drive down our health care costs. The Baucus bill does exactly the opposite. The new fees imposed on all Americans would start in 2010.

In order to pay for this massive boondoggle, 85% of Americans with health care insurance plans right now would start paying more for that health insurance in a few months.

Straight from the Senate bill (Bill page # 221)

The Chairman‘s Mark would impose a fee on any covered entity offering clinical laboratory services in the United States. The aggregate fee on the clinical laboratory sector would be $750 million annually, beginning in 2010. Under the Mark, the aggregate fee would be apportioned among the covered entities each year based on each entity‘s relative market share of covered domestic laboratory service revenue for the prior year. The Mark would require that the fee be paid on an annual basis.

This is not all, wait until you hear this next one...

Do you take any medications at all? The Senate bill will increase the price of all medications, including the cost for medications to Medicare, Medicaid and VA patients.

According to the Senate bill, any and all manufacturers of drugs, including imported drugs, will be subject to a new tax/fee (page 217)

The Chairman‘s Mark would impose a fee on any person that manufactures or imports prescription drugs for sale in the United States.
How about drugs manufactured for Medicare, Medicaid and the VA?

Under the Chairman‘s Mark, ―covered domestic sales would include sales of branded prescription drugs made to or funded by ―specified government programs. Branded prescription drugs would be defined to include single source or innovator multiple source drugs, but would exclude orphan drugs.

Specified government programs are: Medicare, Medicaid, Veterans Administration and TRICARE.
Oh goody- Grandma has yet one more tax increase to worry about

I cannot imagine how many people will lose their jobs at Abbott Labs because of this. This directly affects many folks living here in Kenosha.

By the way, this new tax will be imposed in 2010, for all of the 2009 incomes by these drug companies.

Oh that is not it. New taxes will be imposed on insurance companies also. Yes, that is right. If you have employer sponsored health care, your costs are going up also.

Senate Bill (page 220)

Under the Chairman‘s Mark, an annual fee applies to any U.S. health insurance provider with respect to health insurance.

So what is a US Health insurance provider?

A U.S. health insurance provider includes any company subject to Federal income tax as an insurance company under part I or part II of subchapter L of the Code, as well as any organization exempt from Federal income tax under section 501(a) of the Code that provides insurance. In addition, a U.S. health insurance provider includes (1) any insurer that sells employer-sponsored group health care coverage to employees that are either U.S. citizens or are employed in the United States, and (2) any insurer that sells health care insurance to individuals or groups of individuals (whether or not U.S. citizens) in the United States. A Federal, state, or other governmental entity is not a U.S. health insurance provider. However, a company or organization that underwrites policies for government-funded insurance is a U.S. health insurance provider for purposes of the Mark.

Great news. Federal, State and local government insurance plans are not subject to the same tax increase that the rest of us are subject to!!!

More great news. WEAC and a number of other unions will not be subject to this new tax increase either!

An employer that self-insures its employees‘ health risks is not considered a U.S. health insurance provider for purposes of the Mark.

Whew, we certainly do not want our government officials or unions paying the same amount as the rest of us, huh?

BTW, these new taxes will be imposed on the insurance companies starting in 2010 also.

This is just the tip of the iceburg when dealing with this new and wonderful "plan".

I have yet to begin the discussion on how massively Medicare will be cut, the horrifying debt being imposed on state Medicaid and Medicare programs, the government controlled plans called co-ops, and the government mandates and fines against Americans and all US businesses.

Basically, this new bill will impose $59 billion of tax and fee increases on at least the 85% of American people. The health care costs of this bill will be driven to astronomical levels and will be devastating to our economy.

Most of these new taxes will start in just 14 weeks, January 1st 2010.

The Wall Street Journal is attempting to describe this plan so average Americans will understand this massive boondoggle:

Like the House bill, Mr. Baucus uses 10 years of taxes to fund about seven years of spending. Some $215 billion is scrounged up by imposing a 35% excise tax on insurance companies for plans valued at more than $21,000 for families and $8,000 for individuals. This levy would merely be added to the insurers' "administrative load" and passed down to all consumers in higher prices. Ditto for the $59 billion that Mr. Baucus would raise by taxing the likes of clinical laboratories and drug and device makers.

Since this is a simpler bill to read, average Americans should be able to see and understand exactly how devastating ObamaCare will be to this country.

ObamaCare: Hit#8 Massachusetts government health care another 10% increase in costs

An article that is getting no coverage today, shows the devastating affect of government run health care. Technically, like today's Baucus plan, everyone has "private" insurance. We know it is not really "private", just like we know the Baucus plan is not really private also.

The Massachusetts plan that was pushed as an example for health care reform, is going up by another 10% this year.

On the front page of today's Boston Globe:

The higher insurance costs undermine a key tenet of the state’s landmark health care law passed two years ago, as well as President Obama’s effort to overhaul health care. In addition to mandating insurance for most residents, the Massachusetts bill sought to rein in health care costs. With Washington looking to the Massachusetts experience, fears about higher costs have become a stumbling block to passing a national health care bill.

“It’s all about medical costs going up,’’ said Brian Pagliaro, senior vice president at Tufts Health Plan in Watertown, which predicts an average increase of 9.5 percent for 2010. “The dollar you’re paying now will be $1.09 for the same service next year.’’

Another devastating blow to ObamaCare.

PS. This is really bad timing to have this released at the same time that the federal government is ramming this down our throats. Also bad timing for former governor Mitt Romney. This Republican wants to be our next president. With the way america is rejecting ObamaCare, does he really think that RomneyCare will be any better?

ObamaCare: Hit#7 Lobbyists influence on Baucus Bill

This came out yesterday. Remember Obama's promise not to allow lobbyist to influence him. Well I guess it really does not matter. Healthcare reform lobbyist have got their sticky fingers all over Senator Baucus and other congressional democrats writing the recently released healthcare reform bill.

From Politico

Some of the most influential aides in the closed-door Senate Finance Committee negotiations over health care reform have ties to interests that would be directly affected by the legislation.

Before she was hired last year as senior counsel to Finance Committee Chairman Max Baucus (D-Mont.), Liz Fowler worked as a highly paid public policy adviser for WellPoint Inc., the nation’s largest publicly traded health benefits company.

Mark Hayes, health policy director and chief health counsel for Finance Committee ranking member Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa), is married to a registered lobbyist for a firm that represents drug companies and hospital groups, although the couple says she doesn’t lobby Grassley’s office.

ObamaCare: Hit #6 Young People will bare the largest burden of healthcare reform

Remember the hoards of young people that voted overwhelmingly for Obama????

Yep- that support of Obama is going to cost them bigtime.

From today's Washington Post

A 2008 study by the Urban Institute found that more than 10 million young adults ages 19 to 26 lack health insurance coverage. For many of those people, health-care reform would offer the promise of relatively inexpensive individual policies, which do not exist in many states today.

The trade-off is that young people would no longer be permitted to bet on their good health: All the reform legislation before Congress would require individuals to buy at least minimal coverage.

ObamaCare: Hit #5 45% of Doctors would consider retirement or quitting if ObamaCare passed

This poll alone should destroy ObamaCare. It should, but it will not.

45% of doctors said they may quit or retire if ObamaCare is passed.

Death panels, rationing?

If ObamaCare passes, the rationing that leads to death panels would actually have to start even before government run healthcare for all Americans starts. The cuts to Medicare and Medicaid would have to start immediately after passage of this bill. They must ration now in order to be able to pay for ObamaCare in 2013.

IBD article

In my opinion, even if we lose only 20% of our nations' doctors, it would devastate America's health care system.

This is devastating news and should be treated as such. No more excuses for the Obama robots or media appeasers.

Senate ObamaCare plan revealed...Loses all Republican support? Hit #4

Tons of chatter for weeks about 3 Republicans negotiating ObamaCare with Senator Max Baucus. This was the plan that the media wanted to called "bi-partisan".

Today- the Senate Finance/Baucus plan finally came out. Here is the link.

Not even 1 hour after the plan was released, the LA Times produces the story stating that the three Republicans senators helping negotiate the senate plan will not support it.

Three key GOP lawmakers who had been working with Baucus for months have rejected his bill, all but ensuring that any healthcare legislation that passes this year will win no more than one or two Republican votes.

The truth, if the three that helped negotiate the plan do not support it, then no republican will support it.

ObamaCare: And the hits keep on coming

Obama's and the DNC's demand for the public option has now disappeared.

Huffington Post:

Organizing for America has dropped the demand for the public option from their open letter to members of Congress. [...]

This change confirms Obama's position on the public option: he wants it, but is willing to drop it to pass legislation.

The New Argument shows the change in position by the Obama campaign.

Racism charge against conservatives, good political move?

I have been wondering for several weeks if playing the race card is a smart political move.

Obama's numbers rose briefly after his speech to Congress. At least the numbers were rising until the media, political pundits and democrat politicians once again started calling Americans racists.

As you can see from Rasmussen's poll out yesterday, support for Obamacare rose until the weekend's coverage of the tea party in Washington DC.

It was then that the media pundits, political pundits and democrats attempted to dismiss the tea partiers as racists. CNN and MSNBC were probably the worst offenders making the accusations.

In the Sunday NYT, Maureen Dowd launched into the tea parties making the same charge of racism.

It was during that time that the numbers dove. In just two days time, Obama's healthcare support took a dramatic turn. He lost 6% of support in two days time...Sunday and Monday.

If you type in the words "racist tea parties obama" to Google, you get almost 1 million hits. If you type it into Yahoo, you get almost 2 million hits.

The most prophetic sign at the tea party on Saturday was this one:

No doubt, that sign was right on the money.

Perhaps the middle American independent voter who may have questions or doubts about President Obama are getting sick and tired of being called racists, when they are not. Many of these people voted for Obama.

But the lefties, currently running our country, cannot seem to actually explain why at least one million people drove and flew in from all parts of the country to protest the Obama government and the Democrat government.

I have racist so many times that I have lost count. Some days, right on this very blog, I am called a racist multiple times.

So what should conservatives do about it?

Nothing, I guess. We cannot control the liberals that run this country and are calling us racists. So...vote them out in 2010 and 2012. There is not much more than we can do about it.

You think you got it bad, conservatives? Think about how bad this fellow has it:

You have got to admire this fellow.

Congressional Democrats changing the rules to benefit a Democrat President

I literally laughed when I read this new list of rules from the House Democrats.

Are this idiots so intellectually dishonest that they believe that Americans cannot see through this?

These are the things that Congress are allowed to say about the president:

Under section 370 of the House Rules and Manual it has been held that a Member could:

• refer to the government as “something hated, something oppressive.”
• refer to the President as “using legislative or judicial pork.”
• refer to a Presidential message as a “disgrace to the country.”
• refer to unnamed officials as “our half-baked nitwits handling foreign affairs.”

Hmmm. All of these names of and accusations were made against Republicans and President Bush by Congressional Democrats.

However, this is the new list of things you are not allowed to say about their new Democrat President.

Likewise, it has been held that a member could not:

• call the President a “liar.”
• call the President a “hypocrite.”
• describe the President’s veto of a bill as “cowardly.”
• charge that the President has been “intellectually dishonest.”
• refer to the President as “giving aid and comfort to the enemy.”
• refer to alleged “sexual misconduct on the President’s part.”

Seriously? You cannot accuse the President of sexual misconduct? Hello, Bill Clinton! It is not like it has not happened!!!

Hmmmm- I wonder if the Democrats in Congress know something about President Obama that the rest of us do not???

I also wonder why the rule change about calling the President a liar as it pertains to Congressman Joe Wilson. Apparently it was perfectly acceptable behavior until this rule change yesterday. Why the witch hunt?
