Senator Rockefeller- Iraq would be better with Saddam

Apparently Senator Rockefeller would prefer Saddam run the country of Iraq again.

See for yourself- link

Oh goody- not only do the Democrats want to cut and run, but they want Saddam back in power also.

You are truly pathetic Senator Rockefeller!

I wonder if Rockefeller remembers that he is the only Senator to call Iraq a "imminent" threat on the Senate floor. From Senator Rockefeller's speech on the Senate floor, October 10,2002

There has been some debate over how "imminent" a threat Iraq poses. I do believe that Iraq poses an imminent threat, but I also believe that after September 11, that question is increasingly outdated.

Here are some other gems from the illustrious Senator Rockefeller:

There is unmistakable evidence that Saddam Hussein is working aggressively to develop nuclear weapons and will likely have nuclear weapons within the next five years. And that may happen sooner if he can obtain access to enriched uranium from foreign sources -- something that is not that difficult in the current world. We also should remember we have always underestimated the progress Saddam has made in development of weapons of mass destruction.

There is no doubt in my mind that Saddam Hussein is a despicable dictator, a war criminal, a regional menace, and a real and growing threat to the United States. The difficulty of this decision is that while Saddam Hussein represents a threat, each of the options for dealing with him poses serious risks, to America’s servicemembers, to our citizens, and to our role in the world.

But this is not just a resolution authorizing war; it is a resolution that could provide a path to peace.

September 11 has forever changed the world. We may not like it, but that is the world in which we live. When there is a grave threat to Americans’ lives, we have a responsibility to take action to prevent it.

This last statement by Rockefeller is very accurate. 2 days before we remember the tragedy known as 9/11, I only have one question for Senator Rockefeller...

Have you forgotten?

There is more, alot more of Senator Rockefeller's speech on the floor of the Senate- here is the link

It can be easily said that almost no other Senator made a stronger case for going to war than Senator Rockefeller.

PS. This idiot becomes the head of the Senate Intellingence Committee, if the Democrats take power in November.

PSS. As Senator Rockefeller is making the statement that we should not have invaded Iraq, even if it meant keeping Saddam in power, we have American troops standing in the streets of Bagdad fighting Saddam's buddies.

Congratulations Senator Rockefeller, you have emboldened Saddam's buddies and further endangered American troops.
