John Edwards wants to control your life "From birth to death"

"From birth to death" is how long Presidential candidate John Edwards believes he should have control of you life.

I nearly fell out of my chair when I read this.(H/T Badger Blogger and Texas Hold'em)

John Edwards believes that doctor's visits must be mandated:

"It requires that everybody be covered. It requires that everybody get preventive care," he told a crowd sitting in lawn chairs in front of the Cedar County Courthouse. "If you are going to be in the system, you can't choose not to go to the doctor for 20 years. You have to go in and be checked and make sure that you are OK."

Don't feel like going to the doctor? Doesn't matter, the Democrat's government will make you.

Feel fine? Doesn't matter, the Democrat's government will make you.

Wives, are you tired of pestering your husband about seeing a doctor? Good news! The Democrat's version of government will make your husband go!

I am not sure how a person, running for president of the United States, can stand there in front of a courthouse, and tell people he will mandate Americans into seeing a doctor.

Hey Democrats- you call this freedom?

I am cannot believe that not one single person in the crowd actually hollered back to Edwards- "You cannot MAKE me go to the doctor!" Did they all just sit there and politely applaud?

Just in case you were wondering- the Democrats want control from the day you are born until the day you die-

Edwards said his mandatory health care plan would cover preventive, chronic and long-term health care. The plan would include mental health care as well as dental and vision coverage for all Americans.

"The whole idea is a continuum of care, basically from birth to death," he said.

"From birth until death", folks, not to worry the Democrats will take care of you. There will take massive chunks of your money in taxes and force you to go to the doctor.

What is next? Do they plan on telling you what you can eat and drink? Oh yeah, they are already trying to do that now!

What is up with that $120 billion price tag? Is this a honest figure?

Right here in Wisconsin, the democrats are telling us that it costs a whopping $15 billion a year, perhaps more for their universal health care plan. We only have 5 million people that live in this state, about 1.7% of our nation's population.

What are the Democrats doing? Just pulling numbers out of thin air?

Someone's calculations are really off.

So America- are you ready to hand control of your lives to the democrats?
