Another 9/11 tape released, another opportunity was missed

Yet another Pre 9/11 tape has been released. This one is time stamped as Jan 8, 2000.

For those who do not understand, George Bush was not President on Jan 8, 2000.

According to the British media, Times Online, the video was recorded at Tarnak Farm. A place that the US was well aware of and had even plotted, at one time, to kidnap Bin Laden from this same location.

In the background are the tall mud-red walls of an impressive compound. It is clear that the location is part of a complex of about 80 buildings called Tarnak Farm in the desert near Kandahar airport. It was Bin Laden's clan base during his Afghan sojourn where he lived with his family and the inner core of Al-Qaeda.

American intelligence knew all about Tarnak Farm. According to the 9/11 Commission Report, CIA officers were able to map the entire site, identifying the houses that belonged to Bin Laden's wives and the one where he himself was most likely to sleep.

Less than two years before the video was recorded, the CIA had a plan to work closely with some of the local tribes to grab Bin Laden as he slept. It was a clear-cut, well rehearsed "perfect operation", according to Michael Scheuer, who ran the CIA Bin Laden unit at the time. But it was never executed and there is still controversy in America about who cancelled it.

The AP story is even hinting at the fact that this may be a security video, not one that was shot by the terrorists themselves.

Diaa Rashwan, an Egyptian expert on militant groups, said he found it strange that the cameraman focused not only on bin Laden but also on his audience. He said normally al-Qaida videos of bin Laden just focus on him.

"Was this a video by al-Qaida or by a security agency?" Rashwan asked. "I have never seen such a video."

So here we are again, slapped in the face with reality that here was another opportunity to take out Bin Laden, at a location we know he frequented, and yet we did nothing.

Not only could Bin Laden have been taken out, but the 9/11 murderers would have been taken out with him.

I know the liberals claim that 9/11 was all Bush's fault, but maybe, just maybe, we should have done something about Tarnak Farm long before George Bush became President.

For Pete's sake, we had a map of Tarnak Farm!

Where is that darn video of Clinton shaking his finger in Chris Wallace's face stating that "all least I tried to get Bin Laden"?

After watching Clinton wag his finger last week, the Democrats in Congress were highly offended by the bill passed last week on military tribunals. The Democrats in Congress were demanding rights for the terrorists.

Of course, now we see that at least one of the 9/11 planners is being held at Gitmo, and these are the very same people the Democrats are telling us deserve the same rights as every American-

The Sunday Times said those shown listening to bin Laden included Ramzi Binalshibh, who allegedly helped plan the Sept. 11 attacks and is now being held the U.S. prison camp at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.

Perhaps Clinton and all the Democrats should stop wagging their fingers and start helping win this war on terror.
