I think there may be some confusion taking place in the media.
First- this story ran in Sunday's GM Today paper-
Seeing red in a blue state
It is a nice story and all, but I am certain that Chairman Courtney resigned in May to spend more time with his family.
It appears the story originally ran in April, but was run again this past Sunday. What is even more confusing is the fact that WisPolitics picked up on this story and ran in on June 3 also.
Here is another confusing story-
Huebsch not worried about blog pledges
Apparently, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel is under the belief that it is the responsibility of Assembly Majority leader Mike Huebsch to get Governor Doyle's super sized tax increase budget passed.
Nope- it is the responsibility of Assembly Minority leader Jim Krueser to get the the bloated tax increase budget passed.

You really are an idiot. The majority party leader has the burden of passing the Budget -- in some form -- through his or her house.
Huebsch is under no obligation to pass the Governor's version of the bill, of course. He can try to pass the "no tax increase" special.
The special problem he faces, of course, is that he doesn't have 50 votes to pass the "no tax increase" version, which means he has to make some accomodation to the Democrats.
Apparently you were asleep when these topics were covered in your high school civics class. Or maybe you dropped out before then?
