Cool! Now how do I become one of those 5000 bloggers that they are tracking on a daily basis? I keep trying to come up with something brilliant to say to catch their attention- hasn't worked yet.
Perhaps I need a new plan.

Fight the good fight, JB
The battle begins for Wisconsin's Attorney General's office. Candidates JB Van Hollen and Kathleen Falk started rumbling on Wednesday.
MJS-
Taking aim at Falk for a lack of prosecuting experience, Van Hollen, a former U.S. attorney and district attorney, said he has tried cases against murderers, rapists and abusers, and has put criminals away for life.
Kathleen Falk has ZERO experience trying criminals. She has gone after plenty of businesses, but never once stood in court in front of a murderer.
"Manning the hotline between DOJ and the Sierra Club does not make her a prosecutor," he said. "Her zealous harassment of businesses and farmers does not make her qualified to be attorney general."
Good one, JB!
(Hum, I wonder if they would let me man the hotline between the DOJ and the Sierra Club? Just give me 5 minutes to talk to those idiots, is all I ask)

Rights for Terrorists?
Yeah, it seems the RINO's in the Senate are demanding rights for terrorists-
USA Today
Senate Armed Services Committee Chairman John Warner, R-Va., said Wednesday his panel will consider legislation to provide more legal rights for detainees than the White House proposal. He and his allies contend that denying those rights will put U.S. troops at risk if they are captured overseas and diminish the nation's moral authority....
The senator's decision to go forward puts the president at odds with key members of his party. They are Warner, a former Navy secretary; Graham, a military lawyer and Air Force reservist; and Sen. John McCain, an ex-naval aviator who spent nearly six years as a prisoner of war in Vietnam.
Why am I not surprised that these three are playing games with our national security?
The three "problem areas," Graham said, are proposals to deny defendants' access to classified information, a proposal that would permit the use of evidence obtained through coercion or other methods, and setting rules for CIA interrogations consistent with international law.
Apparently, the "genius" Senator Graham wants to hand over this country's classified documents to the terrorists.
The debate is dividing Republicans. "The American people are not going to provide terrorists with the same kinds of access to justice that American citizens are provided," Boehner said.
You tell 'em Boehner! My guess is that more conservatives are with Boehner on this one.

Phone banks tonight
Message from Tom De Fazio, Green team phone bank coordinator-
Now that we're done with the primary season,
We must work extra hard for a very good reason.
Our mission is victory, let us remember;
The phone calls we make now will pay off in November.
Armed with a phone script with a new theme;
We aim to thwart the Dems and their dastardly scheme.
We'll have Luigi's Mojos and pizza for any hungry creature
But a dessert from Marie will be our main feature.
We start at zero and need 1305 calls this week;
Come for as long as you can--lots of calls we seek!
We start a new 2-week drawing for a Reagan DVD set;
For each 100 calls, a slip in the bag you will get.
Phone banks are located at the GOP offices, 4103 60th Street. Time is 5:00 to 8:30 pm.

Election Round-up
I am glad the primary is over. Here are how things came down, with a few comments from me:
Republican AG: Winner, JB Van Hollen- yes, money made the difference in the end. He will need a lot more money to defeat the Democratic winner. JB did what he had to do in order to get his name throughtout Wisconsin. JB got his message out. It was a great political move. It is time to rally around JB and get Wisconsin a new AG who is dedicated to fighting crime and not fighting business'.
Democratic AG: Winner, Kathleen Falk- yes, money made the difference in the end. Of course, Peg's arrest was the central focus in this race. Peg's fate was sealed the day they pulled her state owned car out of a ditch.
Republican Lt. Gov- Winner, Jean Hundertmark- simply put, Jean is one of Wisconsin's rising female stars.
Cross over voters strongly affected the races in Kenosha County. Just by looking at the number of people that voted for Jim Doyle and those that voted in the Democratic District Attorney race- about 2000 votes seperated them.
My guess is that somewhere around 2000 to 3000 voters in Kenosha County crossed over.
Democratic Congressional first district- Winner, Jeff Thomas. However, in Kenosha County Mike Hebert won. You gotta admire Hebert's push to win this seat. His hand painted yard signs are everywhere. By the way, it is probably good that Hebert did not win. None of those yard signs has that little diddy at the bottom stating "paid for by......". They would have all had to be taken down and redone before putting them out there again. Interesting thing about this race- the Democratic establishment in the state were backing Herr. Herr came in 4th in this race. It was not even close for Herr.
Democratic County Clerk- Winner, Edna Highland. Your welcome Edna. Conservatives in Kenosha County do not like her politics, be we like Edna. She is a nice lady who has been fair to conservatives in Kenosha County. Many in the Democratic establishment in Kenosha had turned their back on Edna and were supporting Krebs. For example, the unions were clearly supporting Krebs. Edna picked up a lot of cross over votes.
Democratic District Attorney- Winner, Robert Zapf. The Democratic establiment in Kenosha was strongly behind Zapf. Michels was running from behind since the beginning. At the end, the cross over votes for Michels made this race close.
In conclusion- positive results
A positive result is JB Van Hollen will do great against Kathleen Falk. Republicans have reason to be excited about this race. JB Van Hollen has a great shot at taking back the AG office and return the justice department's focus to fighting crime.
A positive result is that Congressman Paul Ryan will safely hold this seat for the Republicans in Congress. Jeff Thomas is a joke and has been a joke every single time he has run. By the way, how many times has Thomas run? I have heard that this is his 7th or 8th try at this seat.
A positive- the candidates are set and it time to go. In Kenosha, we are thrilled with the candidates we have.
Here are the priorities-
Statewide:
Mark Green- Governor
Jean Hundertmark- Lt. Governor
JB Van Hollen- Attorney General
Sandy Sullivan- Secretary of State
Jack Voight- State Treasurer
US Senate- I cannot vote for Lorge until he has cleared his name.
Local:
Paul Ryan- Congress
Neal Kedzie- State Senate
Tom Lothian- State Representative 32nd
Samantha Kerkman- State Representative 66th
Dave Beth- Kenosha County Sheriff
Brenda Mauer Witthun- Clerk of Courts
Jeff Kehl- County Treasurer

Congratulations JB!
I have to say, I am now very concerned about Mark Green. We see how money influenced this race. If the man with the most money wins, then Green needs to raise alot more money and do it quickly.

Pathetic!
Our CIA agents are now buying insurance to protect themselves against the likes of John Kerry, Ted Kennedy and the ACLU.
CIA agents now feel threatened for doing their jobs by protecting us from terrorists because of Democratic partisan politicians.
Today's WJS Opinion Journal-
What would Jack Bauer do? If he worked at the CIA in real life today, the anti-terror hero of Fox's "24" would apparently be buying insurance in case the ACLU or John Kerry decided to sue or subpoena him for protecting America with too much vigor.
The Washington Post reported yesterday that more CIA counterterrorism officers are signing up for private insurance that would pay for civil judgments and legal costs if they are sued or charged with a crime. These are the agents who interrogated Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, Abu Zubaydah and other jihadis, using what President Bush last week called methods that were legal but "tough." Those methods succeeded in breaking these men into divulging information that led to the arrest of other al Qaeda bigs, and to the foiling of plots that could have killed thousands.
" 'There are a lot of people who think that subpoenas could be coming' from Congress after the November elections or from federal prosecutors if Democrats capture the White House in 2008," wrote the Post, quoting a retired intelligence officer close to the CIA's Directorate of Operations, which conducted the interrogations. This is not paranoia. We reported yesterday how Carl Levin, the Michigan Democrat, is blocking Bush nominees simply for having been mentioned in passing in emails about Guantanamo. Some of us also remember the infamous Frank Church hearings of the 1970s that pilloried the CIA and weakened it for decades.
Though the government pays the premiums for this kind of insurance, it is a sorry spectacle that these agents must now fear partisan retribution for having done precisely what the country asked them to do. The story is one more reason Congress should follow through on Mr. Bush's request to put its stamp of approval on such interrogations, including ex post facto immunity for these CIA officers.
Intelligence is the front line of this anti-jihadi conflict, and the danger from the current political second-guessing is that CIA officers will go back to the FBI's law enforcement mentality of reading terrorists their Miranda rights that failed the country leading up to 9/11. The country needs Jack Bauer insurance, too.

The President's call to a new generation
The thing that struck me the most about the President's speech last night, is his call to our generation:
Do we have the confidence to do in the Middle East what our fathers and grandfathers accomplished in Europe and Asia?
Right now, I am not sure if our generation has truly answered the call.
Do we have the confidence to do in the Middle East what our fathers and grandfathers accomplished in Europe and Asia?
Right now, I am not sure if our generation has truly answered the call.

Never forget- Arturo Alva Moreno
In remembrance of that fateful day, September 11, 2996 bloggers from across the country are writing personal tributes to all of the victims that were killed by terrorists.
I was given Arturo Alva Moreno.
Arturo was 47 years old, who originally came here from Mexico City, Mexico. He was an employee at Windows on the World, located on the 106th floor of WTC 1.
Although little is known about Arturo, as I spent time searching the internet, I discovered that Arturo has a daughter. As recently as October 2003, his daughter, Laura, was still looking for information regarding her father’s disappearance on September 11th.
So many loved ones continued for years, looking for information on their missing family members. Many family members had no bodies to bury and no way to bring closure to the nightmare of September 11.
By March of 2004, Laura had resigned herself to the fact that her father was gone and she wrote this special message in Spanish to her father. I have had it translated to English:
Dad never I will forget you. Always I will have you in my heart. Thanks for which you taught me and gave me in life. I will continue the example that gave me, to fight against all and against all, to do well, Master. And since the sky take care of and protect me, guide me for good road and never abandon me, these in the sky as an angel. God be with you blessed Dad.
It is possible that Arturo Alva Moreno was not in the United States legally. Even so, as I stared at this picture of Arturo, I see how proudly he stands in his stars and stripes hat.

On that day, Arturo died a victim of the worst terrorist attack in history on American soil. He died as a proud Mexican in America, with many proud Americans surrounding him.
Rest in peace, Arturo Alva Moreno. (Descanse en la paz, Arturo Alva Moreno)
To his daughter Laura, I pray that God will comfort you. ( A su hija Laura, yo oro que Dios le aliviará.) None of America will ever forget your father, Arturo Alva Moreno.
( Ninguna de América se olvidará jamás a su padre, Arturo Alva Moreno)

Charlie Daniels new song
Incredible! Just incredible! I watched Charlie perform this song last night and together with the photos, I was moved to tears-
"The Last Fallen Hero" by Charlie Daniels
Oh the cowards came by morning and attacked without a warning
Leaving flames and death and chaos in our streets
In the middle of this fiery hell brave heroes fell
In the skies of Pennsylvania on a plane bound for destruction
With the devil and his angels at the wheel
They never reached their target on the ground
Brave heroes brought it down
Chorus:
This is a righteous cause so without doubt or pause
I will do what my country asks of me
Make any sacrifice
We’ll pay whatever price
So the children of tomorrow can be free
Lead on red, white and blue
And we will follow you until we win the final victory
God help us do our best we will not slack or rest
Till the last fallen hero rests in peace
Now the winds of war are blowing and there’s no way of knowing
Where this bloody path we’re traveling will lead
We must follow till the end
Or face it all again
And make no mistake about it, write it, preach it, talk it, shout it
Across the mountains and the deserts and the seas
The blood of innocence and shame
Will not be shed in vain
God help us do our best we will not slack nor rest
Till the last fallen hero rests in peace

I am doing something I rarely do
I am doing something tonight that I rarely do. I am sitting down to watch TV, for three hours straight.
Thanks Clinton- if you hadn't fussed and mussed so much about "The Path to 9/11", I would probably not be watching TV tonight.

A New Low in Bush-Hatred
From Jeff Jacoby, Boston Herald-
SIX YEARS into the Bush administration, are there any new lows to which the Bush-haters can sink?
George W. Bush has been smeared by the left with every insult imaginable. He has been called a segregationist who yearns to revive Jim Crow and compared ad nauseam to Adolf Hitler. His detractors have accused him of being financially entwined with Osama bin Laden. Of presiding over an American gulag. Of being a latter-day Mussolini. Howard Dean has proffered the ``interesting theory" that the Saudis tipped off Bush in advance about 9/11. One US senator (Ted Kennedy) has called the war in Iraq a ``fraud" that Bush ``cooked up in Texas" for political gain; another ( Vermont independent James Jeffords) has charged him with planning a war in Iran as a strategy to put his brother in the White House. Cindy Sheehan has called him a ``lying bastard," a ``filth spewer," an ``evil maniac," a ``fuehrer," and a ``terrorist" guilty of ``blatant genocide" -- and been rewarded for her invective with oceans of media attention.
What else can they say about Bush? That they want him killed?
They already say it.
On Air America, talk show host Randi Rhodes recommended doing to Bush what Michael Corleone, in ``The Godfather, Part II," does to his brother. ``Like Fredo," she said, ``somebody ought to take him out fishing and phuw!" -- then imitated the sound of a gunshot. In the Guardian, a leading British daily, columnist Charlie Brooker issued a plea: ``John Wilkes Booth, Lee Harvey Oswald, John Hinckley Jr. -- where are you now that we need you?"
For the more literary Bush-hater, there is ``Checkpoint," a novel by Nicholson Baker in which two characters discuss the wisdom of shooting the president. ``I'm going to kill that bastard," one character fumes. Some Bush-hatred masquerades as art: At Chicago's Columbia College, a curated exhibit included a sheet of mock postage stamps bearing the words ``Patriot Act" and depicting President Bush with a gun to his head. There are even Bush-assassination fashion statements, such as the ``KILL BUSH" T-shirts that were on offer last year at CafePress, an online retailer.
Lurid political libels have a long history in American life. The lies told about John Adams in the campaign of 1800 were vile enough, his wife Abigail lamented, ``to ruin and corrupt the minds and morals of the best people in the world." But has there ever been a president so hated by his enemies that they lusted openly for his death? Or tried to gratify that lust with such political pornography?
As with other kinds of porn, even the most graphic expressions of Bush-hatred tend to jade those who gorge on it, so that they crave ever more explicit material to achieve the same effect.
Which brings us to ``Death of a President," a new movie about the assassination of George W. Bush.
Written and directed by British filmmaker Gabriel Range, the movie premieres today at the Toronto Film Festival and will air next month on Britain's Channel 4. Shot in the style of a documentary, the movie opens with what looks like actual footage of Bush being gunned down by a sniper as he leaves a Chicago hotel in October 2007. Through the use of digital special effects, the film superimposes the president's face onto the body of the actor playing him, so that the mortally wounded man collapsing on the screen will seem, all too vividly, to be Bush himself.
This is Bush-hatred as a snuff film. The fantasies it feeds are grotesque and obscene; to pander to such fantasies is to rip at boundary-markers that are indispensable to civilized society. That such a movie could not only be made but lionized at an international film festival is a mark not of sophistication, but of a sickness in modern life that should alarm conservatives and liberals alike.
Naturally that's not how the film's promoters see it. Noah Cowan, one of the Toronto festival's codirectors, high-mindedly describes ``Death of a President" as ``a classic cautionary tale." Well, yes, Bush's assassination is ``harrowing," he says, but what the film is really about is ``how the Patriot Act, especially, and how Bush's divisive partisanship and race-baiting has forever altered America."
I can't help wondering, though, whether some of those who see this film will take away rather a different message. John Hinckley, in his derangement, had the idea that shooting the president was the way to impress a movie star. After seeing ``Death of a President," the next Hinckley may get a more grandiose idea: Shooting the president is the way to become a movie star.

Senator Rockefeller- Iraq would be better with Saddam
Apparently Senator Rockefeller would prefer Saddam run the country of Iraq again.
See for yourself- link
Oh goody- not only do the Democrats want to cut and run, but they want Saddam back in power also.
You are truly pathetic Senator Rockefeller!
I wonder if Rockefeller remembers that he is the only Senator to call Iraq a "imminent" threat on the Senate floor. From Senator Rockefeller's speech on the Senate floor, October 10,2002
There has been some debate over how "imminent" a threat Iraq poses. I do believe that Iraq poses an imminent threat, but I also believe that after September 11, that question is increasingly outdated.
Here are some other gems from the illustrious Senator Rockefeller:
There is unmistakable evidence that Saddam Hussein is working aggressively to develop nuclear weapons and will likely have nuclear weapons within the next five years. And that may happen sooner if he can obtain access to enriched uranium from foreign sources -- something that is not that difficult in the current world. We also should remember we have always underestimated the progress Saddam has made in development of weapons of mass destruction.
There is no doubt in my mind that Saddam Hussein is a despicable dictator, a war criminal, a regional menace, and a real and growing threat to the United States. The difficulty of this decision is that while Saddam Hussein represents a threat, each of the options for dealing with him poses serious risks, to America’s servicemembers, to our citizens, and to our role in the world.
But this is not just a resolution authorizing war; it is a resolution that could provide a path to peace.
September 11 has forever changed the world. We may not like it, but that is the world in which we live. When there is a grave threat to Americans’ lives, we have a responsibility to take action to prevent it.
This last statement by Rockefeller is very accurate. 2 days before we remember the tragedy known as 9/11, I only have one question for Senator Rockefeller...
Have you forgotten?
There is more, alot more of Senator Rockefeller's speech on the floor of the Senate- here is the link
It can be easily said that almost no other Senator made a stronger case for going to war than Senator Rockefeller.
PS. This idiot becomes the head of the Senate Intellingence Committee, if the Democrats take power in November.
PSS. As Senator Rockefeller is making the statement that we should not have invaded Iraq, even if it meant keeping Saddam in power, we have American troops standing in the streets of Bagdad fighting Saddam's buddies.
Congratulations Senator Rockefeller, you have emboldened Saddam's buddies and further endangered American troops.

Dane County says "no" to referendum on troops
I got to say, I am very surprised.
Moonbat central- otherwise known as Dane County, has decided against adding a advisory referendum to this November ballot-
Voters will not be able to cast their ballots countywide calling for an immediate withdrawal of U.S. forces from Iraq as the Dane County Board early this morning rejected putting a troop withdrawal advisory referendum on the November ballot.
Emotions ran high on both sides of the debate over the referendum, pitting anti-war activists against veterans and active duty soldiers. The debate happened after 1 a.m., following the last piece of business near the end of a seven-hour board meeting.
The vote was 20-12 against putting the advisory referendum on the November ballot.

Bipartisian Bumper sticker
I just got an email from a friend about a bipartisian bumper sticker that both Republicans and Democrats will appreciate:
"RUN! HILLARY! RUN!"
Democrats put it on their rear bumpers.
Republicans put in on their front bumpers.
Thanks, RoseAnn!

Freedom of Speech
You remember that silly little thing that we call "freedom of speech"?
The Democrats have come out totally against freedom of speech.
Check out their reaction to the docudrama "The Path to 9/11"-
Washington Times-
"The content of this drama is factually and incontrovertibly inaccurate, and ABC has a duty to fully correct all errors or pull the drama entirely," Mr. Lindsey wrote. "It is unconscionable to mislead the American public about one of the most horrendous tragedies our country has ever known."
Also yesterday, Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid of Nevada and four other Senate Democrats wrote to Mr. Iger urging him to cancel the miniseries, which they said "could be construed as right-wing political propaganda."
"We urge you, after full consideration of the facts, to uphold your responsibilities as a respected member of American society and as a beneficiary of the free use of the public airwaves to cancel this factually inaccurate and deeply misguided program," Mr. Reid wrote in a letter also signed by Democratic Sens. Richard J. Durbin of Illinois, Debbie Stabenow of Michigan, Charles E. Schumer of New York and Byron L. Dorgan of North Dakota.
The Democrats may try to convince America that 9/11 was all George Bush's fault. Anyone with half a brain realizes that 9/11 was planned for a long time. As a nation, both Democrats and Republicans, we ignored the threats for many years. We paid a high price as a result.
However, the Democrats are trying to push us to ignore the threats of terrorism. There little power play on Thursday of blocking a bill that allows wire-tapping of terrorists in this country is a perfect example.
Terrorism did not start the day George Bush took office and it will not end on the day that he leaves office.
If the Democrats don't feel like watching the docudrama, they don't have to watch.
If the Democrats have issues about the accuracy after seeing the docudrama, they have every right to state what they believe to be inaccurate.
It sure looks like Harry Reid is threatening Abc's "free use of the airwaves".
However, this hissy fit by the Democrats looks more like they are trying to deny someone's freedom of speech by having the docudrama yanked off the airwaves.
