Democrats think you are an idiot

"Use it or lose it"

When it comes to oil exploration, the Democrats are pretending that they are doing something.

They are telling the oil companies either use the land they are currently leasing or lose the lease.

There are a couple of problems with this.

There is already a law telling oil companies to use the land or lose the lease.

The next problem is that if there was oil on this leased land, the oil companies would already be drilling for it.

DUH!

The Democrats honestly believe this will distract Americans into believing they are actually attempting to do something about drilling in the US.

Even the AP is not buying this line of garbage from the Democrats. Check this out

Seeking to blunt GOP efforts to permit oil exploration off Atlantic and Pacific coasts, House Democrats are pushing legislation they say would spur oil drilling on already available lands in Alaska, the West and the western Gulf of Mexico.

Yes, the AP is right- the Democrats are attempting to stop GOP efforts to drill for more oil in America.

"Democrats brought forth their 'Use It or Lose It' bill without knowing it was already the law of the land," said GOP Whip Roy Blunt, R-Mo. "Today we're reminded that the majority's efforts to 'unlock' NPR-A are about as necessary as passing a bill ordering the sun to rise."

Hey Congressman Blunt, don't tempt they Democrats. They may actually write a bill demanding the sun to rise.

Democrats are scrambling to appear pro-drilling — hence the "Drill Act" title for Thursday's bill — even as their leaders appear dead set against reversing the long-standing drilling bans along the Atlantic and Pacific coasts.

The AP even called the Democrats on the bogus name of the bill- "Drill Act". This act is blocking drilling.

As usual, it is Bush's fault.

"The administration's responsibility was to protect the American people from this kind of gouging, and they did nothing," said Sen. Christopher Dodd, D-Conn. "So today they're trying to deflect the very legitimate criticism of, 'What did you do on the watch?'"

No more excuses, Congress

For years, Democrats have been making excuses as to why the price of gas is going though the roof. They have also been making excuses as to why it is not their fault that gas prices are so high. One of those excuses is that there was a presidential moratorium on drilling.

President Bush just took that excuse away from today. The presidential moratorium has been lifted on drilling.

WASHINGTON - In another push to deal with soaring gas prices, President Bush on Monday will lift an executive ban on offshore drilling that his stood since his father was president. But the move, by itself, will do nothing unless Congress acts as well.

Now the only thing standing in the way of more oil production right here in the US are the Democrats in Congress.

There are no more excuses.

1,000,000 by July 4th?

I bet there were some that thought it was impossible. A goal of 1,000,000 signatures signing the "Drill Here. Drill Now. Pay Less." campaign from American Solutions by July 4th appeared out of reach 3 weeks ago.

Today- the 1,000,000 signature marker was passed. this was more than two weeks early. They did this with virtually no paid advertising. As of yesterday, the advertising campaign started. So collecting of signatures will only grow faster.

The next goal- 3,000,000 by the beginning of the Democrat Convention on August 25, 2008.

Come on folks- you can do it.

Get the attention of your Congress by signing the petition - Drill Here. Drill Now. Pay Less.

So far, the campaign is working- we are starting to get the attention of Congress and our Presidential candidates.
