Proof ObamaCare will cut services to senior citizens on Medicare

Yes, according to the CBO, there will indeed be cuts to Medicare recipients and their level of service if healthcare reform is passed.

I know the President has said it over and over again that Medicare will not be cut under any circumstances. Seniors have not really wholeheartedly believed him.

Common sense tells us that cutting $400 to $500 billion from any program, but promising no cuts in services is plain baloney.

Now, the non-partisan Congressional Budget Office has confirmed what most believe to be the honest truth.

WASHINGTON — Congress' chief budget officer is contradicting President Barack Obama's oft-stated claim that seniors wouldn't see their Medicare benefits cut under a health care overhaul.

The head of the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office, Douglas Elmendorf, told senators Tuesday that seniors in Medicare's managed care plans would see reduced benefits under a bill in the Finance Committee.

The bill would cut payments to the Medicare Advantage plans by more than $100 billion over 10 years.

Elmendorf said the changes would reduce the extra benefits that would be made available to beneficiaries.

Critics say the plans are overpaid, while supporters say they work well.

Obama says cuts to Medicare providers won't reduce seniors' benefits.

We have been told by the President to call people out when we hear them telling falsehoods about healthcare reform.

I am calling you out, Mr. President! Stop lying to our seniors!

It is a tax, a painful massive tax at that

President Obama is making the claim that mandating insurance for the millions not currently carrying insurance is not really a tax. George Stephanopoulos actually read the dictionary definition of the word tax and President Obama appeared to be miffed.

STEPHANOPOULOS: I -- I don't think I'm making it up. Merriam Webster's Dictionary: Tax -- "a charge, usually of money, imposed by authority on persons or property for public purposes."

OBAMA: George, the fact that you looked up Merriam's Dictionary, the definition of tax increase, indicates to me that you're stretching a little bit right now. Otherwise, you wouldn't have gone to the dictionary to check on the definition. I mean what...

STEPHANOPOULOS: Well, no, but...

OBAMA: ...what you're saying is...

STEPHANOPOULOS: I wanted to check for myself. But your critics say it is a tax increase.

OBAMA: My critics say everything is a tax increase. My critics say that I'm taking over every sector of the economy. You know that. Look, we can have a legitimate debate about whether or not we're going to have an individual mandate or not, but...

STEPHANOPOULOS: But you reject that it’s a tax increase?

OBAMA: I absolutely reject that notion.

Even the AP is actually calling this a tax increase. Now why would they do that? Because the actual language of the both the House and Senate bill call it a tax. Imagine that!

Memo to President Barack Obama: It's a tax. Obama insisted this weekend on national television that requiring people to carry health insurance — and fining them if they don't — isn't the same thing as a tax increase. But the language of Democratic bills to revamp the nation's health care system doesn't quibble. Both the House bill and the Senate Finance Committee proposal clearly state that the fines would be a tax.

Yes. Not only is it a tax, but the tax increase is massive. Massive!

Dick Morris

Obama has pledged only to increase taxes on the rich. But his program essentially taxes the core of the middle class (those making $30,000 to $80,000). It will make them overpay in order to pick up the slack for others who need the extra coverage.

And here is more from the Washington Post:

The Baucus plan de-emphasizes the employer mandate in favor of the individual mandate. Importantly, this mandate comes with an affordability exemption: If the lowest cost premium available exceeds 10 percent of a person’s income, they're exempt from the mandate. Beyond that, the fee for people who are not eligible for subsidies is $950 per year, up to $3,800 for a family. Compared to the cost of insurance, that's not a ton of money. But then the intent isn't to make not having insurance unaffordable: It's primarily to create a hard deadline so people don't simply put off the purchase of insurance, and secondarily to make sure free riders are paying something into the system.

Almost a $1000 tax increase for a single person, $4000 for a family. Tell me that is not a tax increase!

Mr. President, you are only fooling yourself with your false thinking that this is not a tax increase.

As you told us to do when people were making things up...

I AM CALLING YOU OUT!

Tea Party Photos 09/19/09

What a great time we had.

I am posting this for my mom and dad who were headed back to Texas after spending a few days down in Downer's Grover for a conference. I drove down there yesterday and my parents and I work on these posters last night.

This was the sign that my mom really liked. It is a poster that represents her. She is very worried about senior citizens losing their rights. Rights that she and my father, as a Vietnam vet, fought for and paid for in the last 45 years.

So Mom and Dad, this photo is for you

.

Mom and Dad also liked this one too.

Health Care costs according to President Obama

Hmm, interesting video. President Obama in his own words, as he is running for President

So far, 15 Democrat senators have already stated they could not support the Senate Health Care plan in its current form. All 40 Republicans are against it.

Have you taken a look behind you Mr. President?

Hat Tip Hot Air

2 + 2 = ACORN

As I am reading through the endless articles on ACORN this morning from the main stream media, it dawned on me that the biggest portion of this story has gone completely unnoticed.

The most obvious criminal activity is that ACORN is a wing of Democrat Party and our tax dollars are being used to get Democrats elected.

It just that simple. Somehow, it not only understood that the Democrats are getting assistance from every taxpayer in the country, but the media now just agrees and goes along with the illegal activity.

The media treats this with a ho-hum indifferent attitude. We see articles about how Democrats are now trying to distance themselves from the group and so forth.

However, we have not seen anyone in the years and years that ACORN has been assisting the Democrats, question the legality of using federal, state and local taxes to a group helping get Democrats elected to office.

It is time for the media to put 2+2 together and come up with a correct answer.

It is illegal to use tax dollars to help one political party or another.

Can you imagine giving CPAC or PRO-Life movements federal, state and local tax dollars? These guys work in their state and local communities for the betterment of society also!

Update: Newt Gingrich recognizes there is a problem.

Constitution Day

To those great men that wrote and approved our Constitution 222 years ago, we thank you.

Now, just like every bill in Congress these days, if we can just get our Congress to read it, we would be better off.

Fox News/Dynamics Poll devastating to ObamaCare

Some more devastating results from polling. Of course this poll like the others is skewed towards Democrats, so the final numbers are once again off base. That is okay, I think this entire debate has more to do with Independents than anything else.

House votes to cut off ACORN

Received a Twitter message from House Minority Leader John Boehner that the Congressional House has also voted to cut off funding to ACORN.

House Republican Leader John Boehner (R-OH) issued the following statement after the House of Representatives voted 345-75 to pass the Defund ACORN Act:

“Today’s overwhelming bipartisan vote to stop all federal funding of ACORN is a victory for American taxpayers. Of course, it is only the beginning. We need to keep up the fight to end taxpayer funding for this troubled organization.

Who says Karl Rove can't be funny?

Karl Rove tweeted:

Obama will appear on 5 news shows on Sunday. His time might be better spent praying for more public support.

Third is line to presidency, Pelosi, clueless

Seriously, this woman could be president???

She cannot even handle being Speaker of the House.

The Senate passed legislation overwhelmingly on Monday to defund ACORN, and she has no clue.

New York Post

WASHINGTON -- House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said yesterday she is clueless about an amendment to prohibit government funds for embattled ACORN, although it overwhelmingly passed the Senate Monday and the White House is calling for the group to be held accountable.

"I don't even know what they passed," Pelosi told The Post yesterday. "What did they do? They defunded it?"

The amendment to suspend housing grants was a stunning blow to the community-activist group -- and came as some Democrats and the White House have been backing away from the group.

Senate Health Care Bill will increase health care costs immediately

Somebody has got to pay for healthcare reform. There will be no health care savings for

The Baucus bill will increase our health care costs immediately.

One of the basic reasons for health care reform was to drive down our health care costs. The Baucus bill does exactly the opposite. The new fees imposed on all Americans would start in 2010.

In order to pay for this massive boondoggle, 85% of Americans with health care insurance plans right now would start paying more for that health insurance in a few months.

Straight from the Senate bill (Bill page # 221)

The Chairman‘s Mark would impose a fee on any covered entity offering clinical laboratory services in the United States. The aggregate fee on the clinical laboratory sector would be $750 million annually, beginning in 2010. Under the Mark, the aggregate fee would be apportioned among the covered entities each year based on each entity‘s relative market share of covered domestic laboratory service revenue for the prior year. The Mark would require that the fee be paid on an annual basis.

This is not all, wait until you hear this next one...

Do you take any medications at all? The Senate bill will increase the price of all medications, including the cost for medications to Medicare, Medicaid and VA patients.

According to the Senate bill, any and all manufacturers of drugs, including imported drugs, will be subject to a new tax/fee (page 217)

The Chairman‘s Mark would impose a fee on any person that manufactures or imports prescription drugs for sale in the United States.
How about drugs manufactured for Medicare, Medicaid and the VA?

Under the Chairman‘s Mark, ―covered domestic sales would include sales of branded prescription drugs made to or funded by ―specified government programs. Branded prescription drugs would be defined to include single source or innovator multiple source drugs, but would exclude orphan drugs.

Specified government programs are: Medicare, Medicaid, Veterans Administration and TRICARE.
Oh goody- Grandma has yet one more tax increase to worry about

I cannot imagine how many people will lose their jobs at Abbott Labs because of this. This directly affects many folks living here in Kenosha.

By the way, this new tax will be imposed in 2010, for all of the 2009 incomes by these drug companies.

Oh that is not it. New taxes will be imposed on insurance companies also. Yes, that is right. If you have employer sponsored health care, your costs are going up also.

Senate Bill (page 220)

Under the Chairman‘s Mark, an annual fee applies to any U.S. health insurance provider with respect to health insurance.

So what is a US Health insurance provider?

A U.S. health insurance provider includes any company subject to Federal income tax as an insurance company under part I or part II of subchapter L of the Code, as well as any organization exempt from Federal income tax under section 501(a) of the Code that provides insurance. In addition, a U.S. health insurance provider includes (1) any insurer that sells employer-sponsored group health care coverage to employees that are either U.S. citizens or are employed in the United States, and (2) any insurer that sells health care insurance to individuals or groups of individuals (whether or not U.S. citizens) in the United States. A Federal, state, or other governmental entity is not a U.S. health insurance provider. However, a company or organization that underwrites policies for government-funded insurance is a U.S. health insurance provider for purposes of the Mark.

Great news. Federal, State and local government insurance plans are not subject to the same tax increase that the rest of us are subject to!!!

More great news. WEAC and a number of other unions will not be subject to this new tax increase either!

An employer that self-insures its employees‘ health risks is not considered a U.S. health insurance provider for purposes of the Mark.

Whew, we certainly do not want our government officials or unions paying the same amount as the rest of us, huh?

BTW, these new taxes will be imposed on the insurance companies starting in 2010 also.

This is just the tip of the iceburg when dealing with this new and wonderful "plan".

I have yet to begin the discussion on how massively Medicare will be cut, the horrifying debt being imposed on state Medicaid and Medicare programs, the government controlled plans called co-ops, and the government mandates and fines against Americans and all US businesses.

Basically, this new bill will impose $59 billion of tax and fee increases on at least the 85% of American people. The health care costs of this bill will be driven to astronomical levels and will be devastating to our economy.

Most of these new taxes will start in just 14 weeks, January 1st 2010.

The Wall Street Journal is attempting to describe this plan so average Americans will understand this massive boondoggle:

Like the House bill, Mr. Baucus uses 10 years of taxes to fund about seven years of spending. Some $215 billion is scrounged up by imposing a 35% excise tax on insurance companies for plans valued at more than $21,000 for families and $8,000 for individuals. This levy would merely be added to the insurers' "administrative load" and passed down to all consumers in higher prices. Ditto for the $59 billion that Mr. Baucus would raise by taxing the likes of clinical laboratories and drug and device makers.

Since this is a simpler bill to read, average Americans should be able to see and understand exactly how devastating ObamaCare will be to this country.

ObamaCare: Hit#8 Massachusetts government health care another 10% increase in costs

An article that is getting no coverage today, shows the devastating affect of government run health care. Technically, like today's Baucus plan, everyone has "private" insurance. We know it is not really "private", just like we know the Baucus plan is not really private also.

The Massachusetts plan that was pushed as an example for health care reform, is going up by another 10% this year.

On the front page of today's Boston Globe:

The higher insurance costs undermine a key tenet of the state’s landmark health care law passed two years ago, as well as President Obama’s effort to overhaul health care. In addition to mandating insurance for most residents, the Massachusetts bill sought to rein in health care costs. With Washington looking to the Massachusetts experience, fears about higher costs have become a stumbling block to passing a national health care bill.

“It’s all about medical costs going up,’’ said Brian Pagliaro, senior vice president at Tufts Health Plan in Watertown, which predicts an average increase of 9.5 percent for 2010. “The dollar you’re paying now will be $1.09 for the same service next year.’’

Continued...

Another devastating blow to ObamaCare.

PS. This is really bad timing to have this released at the same time that the federal government is ramming this down our throats. Also bad timing for former governor Mitt Romney. This Republican wants to be our next president. With the way america is rejecting ObamaCare, does he really think that RomneyCare will be any better?

ObamaCare: Hit#7 Lobbyists influence on Baucus Bill

This came out yesterday. Remember Obama's promise not to allow lobbyist to influence him. Well I guess it really does not matter. Healthcare reform lobbyist have got their sticky fingers all over Senator Baucus and other congressional democrats writing the recently released healthcare reform bill.

From Politico

Some of the most influential aides in the closed-door Senate Finance Committee negotiations over health care reform have ties to interests that would be directly affected by the legislation.

Before she was hired last year as senior counsel to Finance Committee Chairman Max Baucus (D-Mont.), Liz Fowler worked as a highly paid public policy adviser for WellPoint Inc., the nation’s largest publicly traded health benefits company.

Mark Hayes, health policy director and chief health counsel for Finance Committee ranking member Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa), is married to a registered lobbyist for a firm that represents drug companies and hospital groups, although the couple says she doesn’t lobby Grassley’s office.

ObamaCare: Hit #6 Young People will bare the largest burden of healthcare reform

Remember the hoards of young people that voted overwhelmingly for Obama????

Yep- that support of Obama is going to cost them bigtime.

From today's Washington Post

A 2008 study by the Urban Institute found that more than 10 million young adults ages 19 to 26 lack health insurance coverage. For many of those people, health-care reform would offer the promise of relatively inexpensive individual policies, which do not exist in many states today.

The trade-off is that young people would no longer be permitted to bet on their good health: All the reform legislation before Congress would require individuals to buy at least minimal coverage.

ObamaCare: Hit #5 45% of Doctors would consider retirement or quitting if ObamaCare passed

This poll alone should destroy ObamaCare. It should, but it will not.

45% of doctors said they may quit or retire if ObamaCare is passed.

Death panels, rationing?

If ObamaCare passes, the rationing that leads to death panels would actually have to start even before government run healthcare for all Americans starts. The cuts to Medicare and Medicaid would have to start immediately after passage of this bill. They must ration now in order to be able to pay for ObamaCare in 2013.

IBD article

In my opinion, even if we lose only 20% of our nations' doctors, it would devastate America's health care system.

This is devastating news and should be treated as such. No more excuses for the Obama robots or media appeasers.

Senate ObamaCare plan revealed...Loses all Republican support? Hit #4

Tons of chatter for weeks about 3 Republicans negotiating ObamaCare with Senator Max Baucus. This was the plan that the media wanted to called "bi-partisan".

Today- the Senate Finance/Baucus plan finally came out. Here is the link.

Not even 1 hour after the plan was released, the LA Times produces the story stating that the three Republicans senators helping negotiate the senate plan will not support it.

Three key GOP lawmakers who had been working with Baucus for months have rejected his bill, all but ensuring that any healthcare legislation that passes this year will win no more than one or two Republican votes.

The truth, if the three that helped negotiate the plan do not support it, then no republican will support it.

ObamaCare: And the hits keep on coming

Obama's and the DNC's demand for the public option has now disappeared.

Huffington Post:

Organizing for America has dropped the demand for the public option from their open letter to members of Congress. [...]

This change confirms Obama's position on the public option: he wants it, but is willing to drop it to pass legislation.

The New Argument shows the change in position by the Obama campaign.

Racism charge against conservatives, good political move?

I have been wondering for several weeks if playing the race card is a smart political move.

Obama's numbers rose briefly after his speech to Congress. At least the numbers were rising until the media, political pundits and democrat politicians once again started calling Americans racists.

As you can see from Rasmussen's poll out yesterday, support for Obamacare rose until the weekend's coverage of the tea party in Washington DC.

It was then that the media pundits, political pundits and democrats attempted to dismiss the tea partiers as racists. CNN and MSNBC were probably the worst offenders making the accusations.

In the Sunday NYT, Maureen Dowd launched into the tea parties making the same charge of racism.

It was during that time that the numbers dove. In just two days time, Obama's healthcare support took a dramatic turn. He lost 6% of support in two days time...Sunday and Monday.

If you type in the words "racist tea parties obama" to Google, you get almost 1 million hits. If you type it into Yahoo, you get almost 2 million hits.

The most prophetic sign at the tea party on Saturday was this one:

No doubt, that sign was right on the money.

Perhaps the middle American independent voter who may have questions or doubts about President Obama are getting sick and tired of being called racists, when they are not. Many of these people voted for Obama.

But the lefties, currently running our country, cannot seem to actually explain why at least one million people drove and flew in from all parts of the country to protest the Obama government and the Democrat government.

I have racist so many times that I have lost count. Some days, right on this very blog, I am called a racist multiple times.

So what should conservatives do about it?

Nothing, I guess. We cannot control the liberals that run this country and are calling us racists. So...vote them out in 2010 and 2012. There is not much more than we can do about it.

You think you got it bad, conservatives? Think about how bad this fellow has it:

You have got to admire this fellow.

Congressional Democrats changing the rules to benefit a Democrat President

I literally laughed when I read this new list of rules from the House Democrats.

Are this idiots so intellectually dishonest that they believe that Americans cannot see through this?

These are the things that Congress are allowed to say about the president:

Under section 370 of the House Rules and Manual it has been held that a Member could:

• refer to the government as “something hated, something oppressive.”
• refer to the President as “using legislative or judicial pork.”
• refer to a Presidential message as a “disgrace to the country.”
• refer to unnamed officials as “our half-baked nitwits handling foreign affairs.”

Hmmm. All of these names of and accusations were made against Republicans and President Bush by Congressional Democrats.

However, this is the new list of things you are not allowed to say about their new Democrat President.

Likewise, it has been held that a member could not:

• call the President a “liar.”
• call the President a “hypocrite.”
• describe the President’s veto of a bill as “cowardly.”
• charge that the President has been “intellectually dishonest.”
• refer to the President as “giving aid and comfort to the enemy.”
• refer to alleged “sexual misconduct on the President’s part.”

Seriously? You cannot accuse the President of sexual misconduct? Hello, Bill Clinton! It is not like it has not happened!!!

Hmmmm- I wonder if the Democrats in Congress know something about President Obama that the rest of us do not???

I also wonder why the rule change about calling the President a liar as it pertains to Congressman Joe Wilson. Apparently it was perfectly acceptable behavior until this rule change yesterday. Why the witch hunt?

Censure?

Okay, let me get this straight, the Democrat shown below did not get censured when he called Republicans and the president a liar in the Congressional chambers.

In fact, went even further that calling the president a liar on the house floor, he even stated that the President was sending our kids to Iraq to get their heads blown off for his own amusement. On House floor, these statements were made.

First of all, I’m just amazed that they can’t figure out– the Republicans are worried that we can’t pay for insuring an additional ten million children. They sure don’t care about finding $200 billion to fight the illegal war in Iraq. Where are you gonna get that money? You gonna tell us lies, like you’re telling us today? Is that how you’re going to fund the war? You don’t have the money to fund the war or children, but you’re going to spend it to blow up innocent people, if we could get enough kids to grow old enough for you to send to Iraq to get their heads blown off for the President’s amusement.

But in 2007, the Democrats also controlled Congress, and never bother to censure their own Congressman. Certainly did not look like the Democrats and Speaker Pelosi could give a rip about house decorum then. Certainly the Speaker could have cared less about respecting the office.

Joe Wilson shouts two words "You lie" to the President of the United States and he should get censured???

Good grief, who gave these Democrats power! They spent years calling President Bush a liar, now calling a Democrat president a liar brings down the house.

The Side Show brought to you by the Democrat Party

You betcha.

The Democrats in Congress are running a side show. Anything they can do to distract from the tea parties and the massive marches taking place across the country.

I don't always agree with RNC chairman, Michael Steele, on everything he says...

but I agree with this.

Perhaps Democrats Should Spend More Time Demanding Apologies From Members Of Their Own Party

RNC CHAIRMAN MICHAEL STEELE:
“In another stunning example of hypocrisy, congressional Democrats are wasting taxpayers’ time and resources on a legislative measure to censure Congressman Joe Wilson so they don’t have to talk about their exceedingly unpopular health care plan. Without question, Joe Wilson made a terrible error in judgment and has wasted no time in extending a personal apology to the president. The president has accepted his apology. If we are going to march Members down to the well of the house to apologize, Joe Wilson is going to have to get in line behind Nancy Pelosi, who attacked the intelligence community who protects us, Charlie Rangel who cheated on his taxes, Jack Murtha – a walking scandal, and we all know how the Democratic leadership tried to protect William Jefferson. Democrats don’t want an apology. They want a side show – something to shift the focus away from their government-run experiment on health care.”

At least 1.3 million people, Largest protest crowd in American history

A lot has been made about how many people actually showed up in Washington DC on Sept 12.

Since they no longer do estimates because the Million man march only was officially estimated at 400,000 people, the guys doing the estimates had their funding yanked.

Basically, we have to figure this out on our own.

If you use this animated photo from USA Today on what the crowd estimates should look like at Obama's inauguration, this appears to have been the largest protest in American history. (Hat tip- Michelle Malkin)

In fact, there is no doubt in my mind that this will go down in history as the largest PROTEST CROWD in history. Not even the anti war protests during Vietnam can match this.

As you can see, the crowd of 1.2 million from Johnson's inauguration, stood well in front of the Washington monument.

From this photo on Fox News, the crowd is packed to at least the Washington monument.

Double click to enlarge the photo.

Also remember to go back to the USA Today page for the animated photo and to see where the location of the Washington monument as a reference.

Now I am not sure if the crowd at Obama's inauguation was as far back as the Washington monument. I have not seen any photo evidence of such, but I am looking. The official estimate for Obama's was 1.8 million people.

Keep in mind, people are lined up on the side streets and many said they could not make it in time because they were stuck in traffic.

This was easily the largest crowd in American history for a protest. I don't know if it was the largest crowd in American history, but it certainly appears to rival Obama's largest crowd in history of 1.8 million people.

What I find simply amazing is the mere fact that only eight months after being sworn in as President producing the largest crowd in history, the largest crowd PROTESTING that same President showed up. Oh how the mighty have fallen in such a short period of time.

Still, the media is really working their tails off trying to ignore this moment in history.

Protests took place all across the country this past Saturday, driving those numbers even higher and higher. There will be many more protests.

Attention to the dead head media: We will not be ignored!

You are wrong, Mr. President

No, I am not going to bother calling the President a liar. But, honestly, I cannot figure out if he has not a lick of common sense or if he is just this full of himself.

Has the President put his presidential legacy above the American people?

President's statement on 60 Minutes:

"I have no interest in having a bill get passed that fails. That doesn't work. You know, I intend to be president for a while and once this bill passes, I own it. And if people look and say, 'You know what? This hasn't reduced my costs. My premiums are still going up 25 percent, insurance companies are still jerking me around,'" Obama explained.

"I'm the one who's going to be held responsible. So I have every incentive to get this right," he added.

Mr. President, you will not be held responsible. The American people will be left holding the bag. A bag that we can never get rid of. A bag that will only grow in size as has been proven all over the world including the state of Massachusetts.

Mr. President, this is not about you or your legacy!

More "fake" photos

Hat Tip Michelle Malkin via El Marco

I think there were a couple of dozen people there...What do you think?

Double click on images to enlarge.

Oh look, we got a couple dozen more here...

Oh crap, there are more!

Fake photos of protest?

There are certainly some fake photos put out by some folks. However, the photo in my previous post was not a fake. There were a lot of people there. I am attaching a copy to time lapsed photos. Even MSNBC was streaming the same photo of what was happening today in Washington.

The media has lost its ever loving mind...

The President's detailed plan for healthcare reform

There you go. Here is the link to the President's super detailed plan on healthcare reform. After all, he promised details would be finally be delivered in his speech on 09/09/09.

What?

You don't see the detailed plan in that link?

What is wrong with a detailed plan consisting of only one page?

What, you have heard all of this before?

What, you have heard these pie-in-the-sky promises before?

Personally, I do not know what is wrong with conservatives today! How dare you wonder what the actual details are in Obama's detailed plan! The details are right here in this detailed document, just as the President promised he would provide!

***I am being sarcastic***

Anybody actually doing any research on this is smart enough to recognize that there are no details in the Obama plan. He has no clue how to keep the promises he just made to America again!

The President can say his plan will not raise the deficit one dime, but the actual detailed plan(HR 3200) does indeed raise the deficit. On and on this garbage continues to roll from the President's lips.

What have we learned from the President's speech?

No one is allowed to call the President a liar, even when he is lying! It is perfectly acceptable for the President to call Sarah Palin a liar, even when she has proof that she is telling the truth.

9/11/01

May God continue to bless this country and keep her safe.

Just words, again

I was in a city council meeting all night and did not watch one word of the President's speech. I have, however, read plenty about the President's speech last night.

Most notable, a Republican got up in the middle of the President's speech and called him a liar when he said illegal immigrants would not be covered under his healthcare plan.

This moment reminded of the debate for immigration reform in 2006. A piece of legislation had finally been written to create a 2000 mile fence Mexico/American border. That legislation was passed and many conservatives, including myself, got excited. Finally the long awaited fence would be built.

I was wrong. Within a few minutes of posting a weblog about this long awaited fence, someone emailed me the truth. There would be no fence, because there was no funding mechanism in place to pay for a fence.

No funding=no fence.

What we had here was nothing more than a piece of paper with some words on it. I was furious with President Bush and the conservatives that wrote a bunch of empty words on a piece of paper just to make people feel good. The President/Congress had lied to me and they had done it on purpose.

So when I heard of the moment last night about a congressman calling the President a liar, my mind went back to that unfunded fence.

The Democrats have placed these words on a piece of paper:

SEC. 246. NO FEDERAL PAYMENT FOR UNDOCUMENTED
ALIENS.
Nothing in this subtitle shall allow Federal payments
for affordability credits on behalf of individuals who are
not lawfully present in the United States.

Looks good and all, doesn't it? The President made this claim last night. Some folks have already figured out the real truth about this.

Congress has provided no mechanism in the legislation to actually enforce this law. There is no mechanism that will enforce that a person's immigration status be checked.

In fact, when given the opportunity, via an amendment, to actually provide a mechanism to check a person's immigration status before providing them with taxpayer funded healthcare, the truth was finally revealed. The Democrats, in committee, overwhelming rejected the amendment. Only one Democrat actually voted for the immigration status check.

If a person's immigration status cannot be checked, there is no way to keep illegal immigrants from benefiting from this plan.

We have the same events happening now as we did in 2006. We have nothing more than some words on a piece of paper.

Now we can all try to give the President the benefit of the doubt on this issue, but it is very hard to convince Americans that he is not aware there is no plan in place to actually keep illegal immigrants from health care.

President Obama= just empty words on a piece of paper.(just like President Bush's empty words in 2006)

Still many in the media today are attempting to prove that Obama was not lying about this. Fact checking is great, but perhaps they need to not be such suckers and actually look for the real truth. Eventually the truth will come out and the empty words will be exposed.

Unfortunately, the empty rhetoric may be exposed too late and millions of Americans will be paying for health care for illegal immigrants when they cannot afford their own healthcare.

Byron York's article has gone viral

Apparently Bryon York's article has gone viral. Websites all over the country are now linking to the Washington Examiner webpage.

It sure makes all of the Obama robots look like yammering fools.

About that speech to school children

The truth about the Obama speech to our school children is that it was originally a political ploy by the Obama administration. It has been know for weeks that President Obama was planning on giving a speech to the school children. During that time frame, you heard very little from conservatives or anyone else about this speech. There was no parental uprising taking place.

It was not until the suggested lesson plans were made public at the end of August that the uprising began.

In those lesson plans were suggestions that teachers ask their students to "Write a letter to themselves asking what they can do help the President". The answers to those questions were to then be held up for public ridicule from their classmates. And another "How does the President inspire me?".

Once reading the lesson plans by the Obama Administration, parents all across this country recognized it for what this was...another political game being played out by America's most egotistical president in American history. More on this in a moment.

The President and his administration decided to play a political game with our country's children. Of course, the accomplice media played right along with the President.

If this speech by the President was truly innocuous, as the media is attempting to tell Americans, then why the ridiculous lesson plans? Why were the suggested lesson plans removed from the White House website?

Obviously, the head of America's educational system had an advanced copy of the President's speech and wrote the suggested lesson plans and then published them nation wide. Why is it then, that the President's speech could not be published immediately? Instead America had to wait several days to find out what the President intended to say.

Only a blithering idiot or the Obama loving media actually believe that the President's speech has not been changed from the President's originally planned speech.

Of course, the speech was changed!

This was a political game being played by the President, nothing more. Americans recognized it for what it was and revolted.

Of course, the accomplice media is having a field day calling conservatives racists again. They have got to defend their President from being embarrassed by Americans revolting. After all, Americans did not care when President Bush gave his speech, but because a black President is giving the speech, conservatives are revolting.

For a perfect example of the Obama brain dead media, read this piece of drivel written by Michael Daly "Our kids need President Obama's wisdom".

Seriously, could these Obama robots be any more in the tank with the President than they are?

President Obama writes the script for the media and they trip along right behind him as if they no longer have brains of their own.

I was neither shocked or surprised by this move from Team Obama. This was a political game meant to once again reign praise on the President. President Obama needs this type of reassuring from the media and his supporters.

This is why the President cannot stop campaigning. The roar of the crowd, the adulation, the lovefest...he cannot seem to survive without it.

That is all this move was, another political ploy, another moment to fawn over the President.

It does not seem to stop with this President.

To President Obama:

You are the President. No need to campaign any longer.

Ultimately, the President is using America's kids as props, and he is not the first to do it. President Bush the first, did the same thing as the Democrats told us many years ago.

The Washington Examiner points out this very point today.

I will ask the same question the Democrats did so many years ago... How much is this self promotion costing the taxpayers?

More radical Obama associations

You would have thought that after the election, President Obama no longer had to worry about his sketchy association with radicals.

Actually it has gotten worse. So little work was done by the mainstream media to actually vet some of these associations, that the radicals are trickling into the Obama Administration.

Van Jones should have never made it as far as he did with the Obama Administration. They either failed to vet him or they just ignored his radical ties.

BTW, not a single Republican cares about being called "a*******". In fact, I am positive that even Republicans have called each other this name. I know people have said this about me also.

As far as the hooo-haaa about this being Glen Beck's paypack to Van Jones because a radical group was getting advertisers
to drop him...that is a bunch of garbage.

Glen Beck exposed Van Jones long as a communist long before the whole hooo-haaa broke out about the advertisers.

In fact, it appears that Van Jones, as the leader of the group playing games over advertisers may have actually retaliated against Glen Beck after Beck exposed Van Jones to be avowed communist and anarchist.

Clearly Van Jones was just another in a long line of Obama's questionable associates.

Obama administration granting ethics waivers

Yes, indeed. The most ethical government ever.

You remember the praise and adulation heaped on the President for signing the ethics mandate on his first day in office?

Of course, we have known all along that President Obama had no REAL objections to hiring lobbyists and such while he was campaigning, but many in the media were suckers enough to run with that theme.

Quietly released late on a Friday afternoon, on a holiday weekend, the Obama administration released the names of those that he has provided an ethics waiver for:

The White House late on Friday published ethics waivers for several political appointees in the administration, setting aside the executive order President Barack Obama signed on his first full day in office.

The move to disclose the waivers came after public interest groups pushed the administration to consolidate waivers granted by other federal agencies besides the White House into one location, which has turned out to be the Office of Government Ethics website. Six waivers have now been granted to staff at the White House and ten to employees at other agencies.

Oh, but don't worry, this is only a tiny percentage of the folks working in Obama's administration.

Of course, I do not remember the President stating that he only planned to waiver a little bit on his promise.

You have got to feel real good about our nation's top cop, the Attorney General, actually got an ethics waiver, huh?

Been here before

Don't even pretend you have never felt this way before:

Rep. Murtha Ignores Reality

9.7%

Hope and change?

Or just more of the same?

Hat Tip Ol Broad

Americans were lied to by the Obama administration. The stimulus is not working.

Why is he still working in the White House?

Something has got to give on Van Jones. This guy has got to be a PR nightmare for President Obama. The idea that this guy has not been fired yet is staggering

It was awful PR when it was discovered this week that Green Jobs Czar Van Jones was an admitted communist.

Then the inflammatory comments describing Republicans with obscenities also reflected badly on President Obama. Well, Van Jones apologized for that, so no big deal, right?

But this latest revelation that Van Jones is a 9/11 truther is beyond the pale. Why was this guy not fired immediately?

This man signed a petition demanding to know why his government would murder 3000 people. A crackpot theory that has gotten way too much attention.

Van Jones is now telling people that he did not really believe this stuff, but he does not deny signing the petition.

Why is he still employed by President Obama?

I think it is simple enough to figure out. The President does not know what to do. He really does not know what to do. The President's green jobs initiatives actually collapses if this guy gets fired. This was his guy. This is the President's policy.

Maybe it is time to stop appointing these Czars. No vetting process, no experience necessary. Billions of dollars handed over to these Czars. Van Jones has been handed $30 Billion.

If Van Jones fails, the President fails.

The President's handlers do not want the President to be hit with another failure.

What about Congress?

On another note, President Obama plans on addressing Congress again, the day after his Pyongyang inspired speech to our nation's children. Don't worry, it will be nationally televised, because are kids are not the only ones that need brainwashing...we need to be brainwashed also.

I was just wondering, after the speech...Will Congress be required to write a letter to themselves explaining how exactly they plan on helping President Obama?

I am just curious.

Brainwashing our children

Our President is getting scary. President Obama is addressing our kids. Every child at school will be forced to watch. Of course, you can keep your children home from school that day. Many parents plan on doing just that.

Personally, I am hoping the President Obama provides an explanation to these children on why he has already spent their future salaries.

After the little speech from the President, teachers have been instructed to ask the children "write a letter to themselves about ways they can help the President".

Finally- some in the media are picking up on this, not just Michelle Malkin. Michelle has been trying to bring attention to this for several days and has pretty much been on her own until today.

In a move suggestive of the Pyongyang public school system, the U.S. Department of Education recommended that before the speech students collectively brainstorm questions like, "Why does President Obama want to speak with us today? How will he inspire us?" Classrooms are to be festooned with "notable quotes excerpted (and posted in large print on board) from President Obama's speeches about education," presumably alongside benevolent-looking images of the dear leader.

For heaven's sake, what have these liberals in the WH and in Congress done to my America?

What happened to the land of the free and the home of the brave? Apparently we are all to be Obamabots now.

Oh my goodness: Plunging Obama poll numbers

I will admit, I did not expect President Obama's to fall this far, this fast.

Rasmussen has the President's approval rating at 45%

Zogby has the President's approval rating at 42%
